Quote from Töki (HUN) :I saw a video with this Hankook Porsce, and I couldn't call that drifting at all.... A bit weird, but

http://www.drifter.hu/index2.p ... eo_lister=3&mod=video

What exactly didn't look like drifting to you there?

@Gekkibi:
I agree it's a lot of money (that's why i said "if you got the money"), but if you compare it to the so called drift cars (tuned cars like all those nissans etc), then they were heavily modified, and therefor not really "cheap" either. I see your point of "raping" a porsche, but running them on the limit on racetracks isn't a lot better for their "lifetime". And accidents can happen there aswell. Actually, i would place a bet that more porsches got wrecked in races, instead of drifting.
Nevermind...
Quote from Gekkibi :But raping a porsche is... Well, porsche raping... It doesn't require that ridiculous spoiler, the original is good enough (And it has been tested in windtunnel, I bet that one isn't. But it looks so "ooh" and "aah", and thus it gets more dB from audience...)

Well in the FIA-GT it also has that ridiculous spoiler and it has its purpous, i bit it also does here
hm will look weird on that thing but show me
Quote from jibber :Actually, i would place a bet that more porsches got wrecked in races, instead of drifting.

Of course, because Porsches are used for racing. I know that more formula F1 is scrapped while racing instead of drifting.

Last season in Porsche Racing Club Finland one car (IIRC) got damaged.

I'll get back to you on that, the pics are on my other comp I guess.

i pick it up on saturday

those cars are so cool
my neighbor bought one unfortenetly he crashed it after three days
I don't rate the new Swift, the old one I think is better, my mate's bro has one on a F plate what is tuned with stripped interior quick little car top speed of it is 140mph, 3 door GTI Version . I think the new swift is ugly though.
Swift sport is nice, good suspension for such a little and cheap car.. it's the little "hothatch" these days , very underestimated. Handling-wise very close to the Clio's, too bad they don't have so much power but I'm sure there are aftermarket possibilities ?

1 more "action" pic from my car, it's R.I.P now, time for something different and newer.

Zandvoort :

Nordschleife :

And I'm gonna miss the sound of these 4 little boys :

So what should I buy now ?

MR2 Turbo (sw20)
MX-5 (hehe..)
Celica GT4 (it rains a lot on the Nordschleife..)
????

nice ride, ITB's on a 4A ftw
what to buy, the mr2 if ur serious about track work, the GT4's are hard to modify (comparitively) and slow in standard trim, mx5...hmm also a good track car, but i still prefer the sw20 mr2....midmount is so cool
Quote from dUmAsS :

Almost every day I counter one of these at the way back home and somehow I feel the roughly my aged male driver who wears sunglasses and drives fast a bit funny in that car, even though I could easily buy the same car if I had the money

But nevertheless, UK is the promised land of Swifts, Saxos and Clios

btw. that's fifth post this week that involves (harmless) jokes about foreign countries
Quote from frokki :But nevertheless, UK is the promised land of Swifts, Saxos and Clios

I've not seen many swifts around my area (maybe 4 or so) but the C2 has definatly taken over, i see one everywhere i go! (sometimes 3 within seconds of each other)
I'd say MR2 Turbo, mid engined car and quit sportif. I'd rather buy that than a GT-4 or the other one

The 1.9 110BHP TDI A4, nice cars those, quick for a diesel espacially when you put the tuning box's in them. They do have a problem with them though, when you get a lose in power when you hit a certain amount of revs its because the map sensor in the ECU gets blocked, just unblock the pipe and it normally fixes it or sometimes it can be the mass air flow.
My dad bought one with a ****ed engine where the pistons went through and turned around the wrong way, bought a engine for it the exact same problem so I don't know if this is a problem with them but seems to happen with the pistons actually turning around, can't remember the exact thing what happens but if you need a picture I could get one.

Just thought I would say, they are brilliant cars for a diesel we have just sold a A4 B5 1.9 TDI 110bhp estate and are sad to see it go because it is a brilliant car but we still have a A4 B5 1.9 TDI 110bhp saloon with a tuning box on so it actually is 140bhp, soon to be modified to body and maybe a few more engine tuning parts (This is the one what had the knackered engine in, bought one out of a gold as they are the same engines and now funs perfect.)
Thanks for that It's running fine I did have to buy a new catalytic converter but that about it Its a great car and I run it of Chip fat
Quote from Stefan3000 :Its a great car and I run it of Chip fat

LOL, you drive past some people and all they smell is chip fat...

"I didn't know there was a fish 'n chip shop round here?".
