nice ride, id like to hear that cars sound
You're obviously very proud, but did you need to tell us about the 0.001" honing allowance on the rebore, or the angles it was done at? Seems excessively borish to me.

With that performance you don't even enter the competition

Everything out here, it won't go faster, in fact if there is uphill it won't reach 100kph mark
Lol
I thought I was slowest cause just on this Page there was a 300ZX N/A and a Focus RS. It can do 0-62mph(100km/h) in 8.6seconds and a top speed of 142mph/228km/h though VW Chat crap and I know it'lll do 146..

YOU have a top speed of 140MPH...Nice one
Lol
Yeah, I can! I just scrolled back, 316i? Nice. Yes Quattro ist fur sissies, even I agree even though I have a car from the family lol. I woulda loved to have a 316i as a first car, even though its sluggish..
general, you wont be getting a lift in my capri too soon, just failed my test only 6 minors, but some idiot not braking and using my side of the road is my fault aparently no money to book another test at the mo, so i may be a while

A 300zx n/a isn't that speedy. I think it does 0-100 Km/hr (60mph) in 7.9 seconds, its so fat and heavy

I've just joined your gang

Here is a right up I done on the BMW Forums...

Well, I had my test on Wednesday and I failed.

The whole goes like this:

On the 4th of January, I had my first introductory lesson, which was also my first time on the road. That went very well and my instructor was impressed and found it very hard to believe that it was my first time on the road. I was booked in for 20 hours of lessons spread over 2 weeks. They went well and I was confident.
My test was booked for the 2nd of April @ 08.20 in Exeter. My examiner was called Rob, he is an ex-copper and seemed like a nice enough guy.

As soon as the test started, he wanted me to do a bay park which went very well. We then went pulled out of the test centre. Everything was going well, the other maneuver I had to do was a turn in the road which is a piece of piss. But I don't everything else right, as far as I was concerned. I took a look at the clock at it was 08.50 and I thought, "we should be making our way back now, and I think I've done it!" We came up to (For those of you know who know it) Matford Roundabout, from Dawlish going towards The Devon Hotel. The traffic was chock-a-block as it would be at about 08.50. The traffic to my right is 2 lanes, the turning I wanted was also 2 lanes, so both lanes of traffic from my right could take the same turning I wanted. I was waiting there for ages and I thought to myself "If I don't move soon, he will fail me for being over cautious" There was only one car at my right, stationary in the inside lane. "Here's my chance" I thought. I pulled away, but ofcourse because on the test as soon as you go over 10mph you need to be into second (and the same for when you hit 20mph, you should change into 3rd and so on. If you don't, you incur a minor. - Everyone seems to not believe me on this, but its true  ) so, as I went for 2nd gear, I lost momentum and the car which was stationary to my right had caught up. About 2 bloody minutes away from the test station as well!

When I got back to the test station he said, "I'm sorry to say you've failed. I am actually sorry to tell you that as that was a near perfect drive, higher standards than what we are actually looking for, but I have to fail you for what happened back there." etc.

Silly really, as a different examiner would of failed me for waiting to long where as another would of wanted to stay. Ah, well...No point for "ifs" and "buts" its happened.

Just means I have to wait even longer.

Edit: Here is a picture for those who don't know Exeter, or even Devon

I'm the black dot, the blue dot is the other car and the red line is where we were going. The right lane was clear. The other car was stationary showing no indication.

I see what you did there TGL, I have to say this though. Regardless of what that guys actions are, You always give way to your right on a roundabout. Unless of course he was being blocked and you could acutally see the car blocking him. Also going to slow or being "Over cautious" isnt bad, All they can do is give you a minor. You being carefull, End of.

Edit: Another thing to remember, If you ARE going to use someone on the right to block you, DONT use a car. A car can move just as fast, If not faster off the junction and then you are knackered. Make sure you have a lorry or a bus, Something thats slow and gonna block any traffic. Then and only then is it safe to use someone as a block.
But it was ten to nine mate, if I didn't make the most of the situation, I would of been there till gone 9! It really was packed, bumper to bumper.

He was sat in the inside lane, with no indication which according to my instructor gives me right of way over him.

Like I said, if I had a different examiner, and I stayed, he may of failed me on waiting too long etc and not moving when the blue car was stationary...
You could quite possibly have been there till 9, but atleast you would have walked away with a licenced. An examiner is not there to fail you, Only to see you are confidend on the road, not a nervous reck thats a accident waiting to happen. I'll tell you something..When i done my test i made 2 very silly mistakes...

1. I stalled it. I kept calm, Started the car and carryed on my journey. For that reason, i didnt fail because of that.

2. I was doing a reverse park, And i ended up being over the limit of the distance from the curb. I stopped, I said: "Im sorry about that, I will just pull foward and correct that". All i got was a minor for it, If you cock that up. Its ment to be a fail.

I know, i know. Its bad you failed, Im not saying your a bad driver. Im trying to help you understand why you failed. (As i passed.)

Like i say, Not having a go, Just trying to help..
When are you able to do the test again?

I had a remark on my exam about being too cautious. I think it wasn't really in place, but it was the only remark so meh. What happend:
I was driving behind a truck, and he had his indicator on. So I figured: he'll turn soon. But apparantly the trucker didn't know exactly where he needed to be, so it took ages before he turned. I was looking to overtake, but my car is pretty slow, and the moment I had the chance to overtake, 2 cars behind me already started overtaking me and the truck. And by the time those passed, the truck turned.

So when the test was finished: the instructor asked me why I didn't overtake. I told him my car was too slow. And the remark just turned up on the paper, but I passed.
Quote from Jordan2007 :Standard At the moment But i Might get a bluefin Chip for it what Gives it about 15 bhp Boost
And Its Jordans Dad, I Sneak On Sometimes When hes not on

Not being a troll or anything, but the RS is 212hp standard. Any untold mods you not telling me about?

@ Redman, car is looking lovely mate. Well done.
Little bit off-topic, but I took my porsche back to the streets today. Haven't drived it for months. Damn, I want G25 wheel to my 944!

It felt just so freaking odd... Luckily, I got used to it after couple of kilometers.
