Different things normally creates conversation pieces as well. Example, this conversation.

Plus, if you two had the same thoughts, then this conversation would never happen, either all or none would think Lady Gaga is a man, and everyone or no one would like America.

Wow Boris, sounds like some weird Sci-Fi movie world you want to live in where everyone is exactly the same. Freaky

Isn't that Equilibrium 7/10 a stylish movie in which everyone feels the same and culture, feeling and behaving with passion is outlawed.

Nice. Got it back on topic and managed to recommend a film I seem to have missed out on. Good work fella
Quote from Boris Lozac :Sometimes i'm really bummed about how different people are and their taste in things. I'm starting to think IS IT a good thing that every person has such different views and tastes..

youre quite the induhvidual

Quote from The Moose :Why is it a good thing? Can you imagine how boring the world would be if we all liked the same things, found the same things funny, liked the same music?

wed probably all be drowning in marketing executives sperm
Quote from BurnOut69 :Watched Kelly's heroes last night, Clint awesomeness all the way

Also His awesomeness portraid in Where Eagles Dare, Il buono, il brutto, il cattiv ... od, the Bad and the Ugly), The Dirty Harry franchise, Every which way but loose (The ... -Fighter+Orangutan movie) and Gran Torino.

Quote from oscarhardwick :Sleepers - Saw this on television just the other day. And it's actually really nicely done. Pace doesn't feel right in the last 1/4 of the film but it's hardly a thing to get upset by or something to moan about. Highly recommend it to anyone who has not seen this film.

DO NOT mix up that with Sleeper (with no s, the Woody Allen movie) you do not need to see that.

Quote from jrd.racer :I started Hot Fuzz but failed to finish it, just couldn't stand it.

but
I enjoyed Speed. Really kept me awake at 5am. also... love Sandra Bullock.

Re: Hot Fuzz, you should see it all the way. Also you should see similar stupid "crime"/"comedy" movie Keeping Mum with "Mr.Bean" Rowan Atkinson and Kopps (mind you that's subtitled so no-no to Uhmericans)
Re: Sandra Bullock - Two Weeks Notice

None of those I've seen "lately" but SFW, DAF and FTM (the 4th definition)
Source Code was actually quite decent

I also watched most of the above movies, for me Equilibrium was obviously one of the best. THX 1138 was pretty good also. Also another one I cannot for the life of me remember, it was just too awesome

IMO do NOT watch Brave New World or 1984 - the movies are 10x worse than the books.

Sleeper rules, dude.
Quote from DeadWolfBones :Sleeper rules, dude.

Rules just as much as Plan 9 from Outer Space, except it's not that horribly bad that it underflows to "ok".
Falling Skies
A series

Noal Wlye from ER.

Falling Skies: The chaotic aftermath of an alien attack has left most of the world completely incapacitated. In the six months since the initial invasion, the few survivors have banded together outside major cities to begin the difficult task of fighting back. Each day is a test of survival as citizen soldiers work to protect the people in their care while also engaging in an insurgency campaign against the occupying alien force.

Enjoy,
Ay, I've been watching a bit of Falling Skies and I don't think it's all that bad. At first I thought it was just going to be The Walking Dead with aliens instead of zombies, but I do think that Falling Skies is slowly beginning to distinguish itself.

Hopefully it gets a second season.
The Wrestler - OK, not as good as I had expected, but interesting nonetheless
While zapping, I stumbled upon:

Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus

And I managed to watch the whole of it, even though every moment of it is cringeworthy, especially since the german dub is of a quality between amateur voice work, porn and mid 90ies game voiceovers.

Still entertaining, allthough for the wrong reasons.
I'll throw in a third recommendation for Falling Skies I'm really liking it so far. The last episode threw in two unexpected twists that will definitely have me watching next week.
Harry Potter was immense.

Cheers man, i think i watched one from the official tribute, judging by the cover.

Off to download "Senna"
Senna is just amazing, go see it now.
Quote from Krane :Most recent "release" Senna (2010)

thats the one with the fundamental mistake of not using the original engine sounds in on board videos right?

Recommend a film you've seen lately.
