Quote from Dudles :What to you think of this ? Tan Leather. And the gauges plate is Carbon Fiber. The red Seats are RECARO's made by me...

Would you upload that dds?

I was thinking few days ago about that 45* max lock for xrg,xrt and fz5. This is very good news for big lfs drifting community! Thanks Scawen!

Quote from GreyBull [CHA] :Why the hell do you care anyway?

Because I have written this post many years ago and everything in LFS was new to me then. As for now I'm just getting bored of LFS after 30 minutes of playing. We don't need all the physics stuff if it's too hard to develop. We just need some extra tracks / roads. That's all.

LFS development is dead anyway.

I'm going to UK and I have a pendrive. Rockingham is coming soon.

Yea ... I'm waiting for Rally Pack for many years ... much longer than new physics / VWS / rockingham :]

Quote from Scawen :
Drifting hosts are one example where extreme setups will be allowed, I am sure.

That's fantastic. By the way - is it possible to increase the max. lock of steering in cars used for drifting too? That will be big, awesome gift from you, especially, we will have new physics, so possibility to change max lock to 45* will be realistic (as in real drifting cars) and awesome
However, I'm pretty sure, that new patch will be smashing

Quote from Scawen :
Also we are interested in implementing a limited setup system (for road cars - not just the VW) and have realistic setups for all the road cars. But these realistic setups have demonstrated something that is lacking in the suspension.

That's nice, but please, remember of drifters and just try to give XRT, FZ5 and maybe XRG some settings helpful in drifting, like camber, parallel steer, toe, and of course - differential. That will be a big gift from you.

I have a little question also - now, when I have hot tires (I mean after the big burnout or few drifting laps) I have a lot of smoke on straights (without any sliding) - just because tires are hot. In new physics this isn't exist? Am I right?

Force Feedback is more smooth now. THIS IS the best part of update

LFS is so freakin' good! ANY NEW THINGS ARE UNNECESSARY.

I think mod can lock this thread. LFS might be the best car sim ever, but weird policy of developers and strange part of community are holding progress up.

Ok, and now happy aguring >_>

lfs is so good that it needn't any update IMO.

It's easier to change the lock in real car than change all suspension settings, gear ratio, and camber settings.
caster, max lock, and wheels track are easier to change in real car without big modifications, than all suspension and gearbox settings. That's why I think this is so hypocritical.

Quote from G!NhO :its NOT a drifting simulator, and its totally unrealistic to have 45 degrees lock on normal raodcars. Also it gives an advantage to have more lock while racing, go cry anywhere else mmmkay?

45*is realistic in normal cars. This is the same type of tuning as changing suspension settings, gearbox and camber. This is the same.
If lfs is only racing sim, why the hell it has some of CRUISE options?

Quote from Scawen :Let's be clear, I haven't added anything for cruising. Support for cruising up to now has only been about disabling existing features, a very easy thing to do... so you don't really have to worry if I spend 5 minutes disabling another feature to support cruising.

Is changing full lock from 36* to 45* in RWD road cars so much harder? It's only disabling existing restriction. (45* was in S1)

1. You try coding, modelling and texturing a 3d simulator with some of the best physics around.

I don't get it why are devs promoting cruising, and killing off the drifting (real motorsport, not just cruising around the track with speedlimits)? And where is the rallypack?

Quote from mcintyrej :The devs have never given progress reports mid way through patching - or at least I've never seen one.

Stop being stupidly paraniod and just wait for the patch.

IMO devs are dead, that's why we haven't got any progress report.
or maybe there's no progress in lfs development?
i'm affraid about this
but i hope i'm wrong, devs are still alive and lfs will be better and better in future.
