got my last monitor today

It is nothing short of awesome!!!!!!

7800gs OCed to 566 MHz / 2.89 GHz

3 LG L1932 19" LCDs

Its great for cad and 2d stuff too Im already spoiled after 1 day

I have been enjoying the the use of others efforts for nearly two years now with several licences ( to support the devs)
It is now time that I do my part as I have begun renting two 23 slot servers from the 500 servers guy.

Please be patient with me as I have no experience hosting .

It would be very hard to top fragmaster,conedodgers and a few others

so my intent is not to draw racers from other servers but to be a little different

one server will be openwheel and the other will allow most cars with doors the only thing I wont allow is those dam clown cars (the little cube looking things).
For me i see no reason to sim race anything that I could afford to buy and race for real.

I will be choosing the cars but will allow drivers to choose the tracks.

I am open to new ideas and any input would be appreciated

Since LFS I never see the real sun or moon.


I do use the evening settings at both ends of the day and when they say its coludy here I make it cloudy too.

I dont use the phone, never IM, rarely ck email and am now completly anti-social (in person)

Gained #20 Lbs. (so far)

Now that my sim chassis (with cup holder & mini fridge) is complete I dont even spend any xtra time in the shop.

Monday the biggest issue in in my pathetic lil life was that my legs were crampy from sunday nights seating position.

I selfishly built the chassis for me without any adjustments not thinking at the time that I would be living in it!

Now what? illepall

Cut, weld, drill, paint, waste time!! (Time spent working on the pc or chassis is time that otherwise could have been spent racing LFS.)

Then it came to me

A POWER SEAT


After a trip to the local bone yard, $50, some hardware, a few welds and a couple of hours it now has a 2004 GM 5 way power seat base.

And the best part is it runs off my UPS battery.

I see another 20# coming

Maybe I can add a tread mill next

Guess I get a little carried away sometimes

LFS is the product of a huge ammount of effort performed by many people.

Last week I posted adout being banned for no apearent reason and recieved a great deal of support here.

The next day I recieved a PM from their team owner saying that steps were being taken to see that things like this don't happen again.

Another LFS guy that just does the (RIGHT THING)!!!

No excuices just action.

People like this is why the "LFS guys" continue to be the best bunch of people to race with !!!!!

We are all fortunate to have found this "little game" and sometimes it is easy to forget just how good we have it!

Also LFS seems to have attracted a better Quality of people.

YOU WONT JUST BE GETTING A GREAT SIM.

As I hope you can see from the various sites LFS includes other things like.

The oppertunity to associate with and to learn from an ecceptional bunch of RACERS (not players) with extreemly diverse backgrounds.

Myself I have 25 years of "real racing" experience that includes Outboard hydroplanes, drag outboards, karts, local stockcars, the street and several 2 stroke roadbikes.

I am alwaise amazed at the knowledge passed through the art of TWD (typing while driving) the LFS guys have an incredable ability to type and not crash.

Dont be intimidated the other day another former (real racer) and I were commenting about getting our clocks cleaned by some kids too young for the road.

And not just guys either there some girls around with some very impressive skills too!

In one respect LFS is more fair than (real racing) I t is very hard to $spend$ yourself faster Here!!

When I was racing more speed could alwaise be bought even the stock classes!

I look foreward to seeing you on the track

Buy the dam game

LFS was my first sim (im old and new to this)

I then bouhgt Everything else out there looking for (better) and more fun!!!

(Anybody want some other games cheap)

I had the best all along and even bought a spare licence to support the devs (and maybe make up for one of those life long demo jerks)

Theise guys spend an incerdable ammount of time on our toy and have earned the respect they should be given by all!!!!

A demo is just that a (demonstration) not a welfare ticket or free ride!!!

I dont run fox much so im slow.

However I do spend alot of time in other cars some Im competive some not so competitive.

I do far better than most at staying out of the way lots of times hitting shift-s on the blue flag regardless of my own concerns.

Alwaise I share my sets and tech help with slower - newer players.

I learned this twenty years ago while racing real Hydroplanes (yeah Im old)

Its no fun racing alone and being the big fish in the little pond soon becomes old as well.

So I got banned today entering the track to a blue flag my fingers on shift-s I get dumped (no vote) just gone.


I came back with my spare licence .

(I bought a spare to show support for the devs and and to maybe make up for some of the life long demo jerks)

I ran a race without incident I got dumped again while in the pits.

After playing for almost two years i am happy to say today was my 3rd & 4th ban!!!!

All I can say is what an ass!!!!

Im not trying to judge anyone (the track will do that)

after all most of us are from free countries

The more I poke around here the more I cant beleive how many people dont create or even modify the setups they are running.

The Inferno stuff is a tremendous help but tweaking the ride is half the fun.

It also provides an outstang oppertunity to learn something.

Macrosleep or uber sleep forgot to mention I was in the BF1.

I think microsleep would need one of those little shugar cubes with wheels But real race cars dont have doors

I guess microsleep could occur in a MRT.

No disrespect intended I fell asleep at the end of a very long session.

R-Factor, Netkar, GT-whatever or that sierra crap I would have been in dreamland before the green flag.

I own all of them and only LFS made it to my latest system!

It seems that even mildest LFS driver gets a little carried away from time to time.

Tell us how it happened and what you found when you woke.


Last night was the first time I was asleep at the wheel (that I Know of) although Im shure some of my competetors might disagree.

When ever I turn my artifical idiots loose to learn.

Before leaving I go out on the track for a lap or two ( for what reason I dont know).


Today I woke to the sound squealing tires and the roar of engines ( Could have been worse I guess )

I was upside down and against the wall at the Kyoto oval with the motor off and out of fuel.

Where my artificial idiots had been repeatedly crashing in to me and then repairing themselves for how long I dont know (at least no one saw this)

To make matters worse I think I remember dreaming about being crashed in lfs.( how disturbing )


I hope Im not the only one
