The German Touring Car Masters (in Germany called DTM) is an important Championship in Germany. And the administration of the DTM, the "ITR" says it is the greatest championship near by the F1.

But just two manufactures, boring races and not many spectators at the races outside of Germany don´t confirm the ITR.

What do you think about the DTM. Is it an important championship ???
Is it good as the "good old days" form 1984 to 1996 ???
Is it spectacular like the F1 ???

thanks^^.. I think I had a few more races with a similiar number of battles but this race was the first one with FBM over such a long distance ^^

and a few questions about the rules:

You say this is all about realism, but I have never seen a driver drive 10sec. slower a lap because of a yellow flag. I think it would be more realistic if you just loose 0,5 -1.0 sec in the area where yellow flag is shown. Otherwise you would have to brake hard, which could just cause another crash if cars behind you have weaker brakes, worse tyres or just don't react fast enough.

And one last question (I am just curious ^^): How will the marshalls work? Will they watch the replay after an incident, come back on server, and then punish a certain driver?

I am karting on 2 different tracks near my town, and before I went karting i played lfs for 2 years. When I first sat down in the kart I wondered if it's different from the sim, but it actually was pretty similiar to me.

My problem was just, that I am playing with ks (no money for a wheel,no time for S2/afraid of playing to much because I like lfs so much). So I just needed to learn how to do the things I would do on my kb in the real kart with wheel and pedals.. 3months later I won a race^^.

In my oppinion lfs helps very much, specially the XRT helped me, because it is not a single seater,it is an RWD and you don't spin when you accelerate too much in a corner. And the fact that you can drift very good with that car helps you to understand how you have to brake and steer if you want the kart not to drift.

i will just give some statements.. i hope not all of the stuff that i am writing now has already been said:

the clutch is in my eyes unnecessary and in the fbm it breaks too easily,
the new 45° view to the sides is actualy a good idea, but it is unrealisitc -> the drivers don't wear a HANS, so they can actually look 90° to the side. solution: just give the drivers a HANS system ;=)

the change in the looking back thing is unrealistic, too. -> when u look back in a touringcar you dont move between the seats and look behind you. Solution: If you want to make it realistic, you should leava out the looking back feature in single seaters, and maybe make it like it was before in touringcars.
Another advice for mirrors: Why not let the player change the direction of the mirrors in the setup area?

Another advice: It would be pretty cool if the guys that are standing next to the track could show yellow,blue and green flags. On Blackwood there already are some marshals standing in the right spots for doing this^^.
