Jeff, thanks for posting that. I just reinstalled GPL and I thought I was going crazy or just somehow not steering correctly. I wonder if this is a known thing- I'd never heard of it- and if it's been fixed in the mods like '66 etc.

If you have both DVI and D-Sub plugs on your GFX, maybe you can try using both (using the adapter when needed of course) to see if it's not just a faulty plug.

Yeah, thought of that too, but the monitor I have plugged in now is a CRT as well and it's plugged in to the same DVI>D adapter that the other monitor was using- and it works fine.

See, I told you it was a strange problem, none of the usual things that one would think are the issue seem to be.

already did that, all the pins are fine and the GFX card must be fine because it works with the other monitor.

It had always been used with my gaming PC until the day it blacked out on me. But will work on another PC so it's really strange.

A while back I turned on my game PC after it being off for a few days, started to boot up, saw the boot splash, DOS screen etc. but no desktop. First thought of course is bad GFX card, nope. Hooked another monitor up to it and it works fine.

Hook the old monitor back up and same thing with a little moving screen saying something about "NO Sync"

Now here's the even stranger part, hook up the 'bad' monitor to another PC and....WTF? It works fine showing the same resolution I had always had it running at.

Now when I hook up that monitor to it's original PC it will show a desktop but at 640x480 or whatever that lowest resolution is, but if I try to move it higher than that, black screen.

Anyone have any idea? Obviously the monitor is not bad or it would not work no matter what PC it's married to, it will work everyplace except the one PC that's has been hooked up to since I got it. This is my best monitor and I would really like to use it again on my gamer as I have a really low end loaner on it right now.

I tried reinstalling GFX card drivers, Monitor drivers and still no joy.

Card is a ATI X850XT PE and the monitor is a Viewsonic PF709 flat screen CRT.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just wondering if any of you do this like me. I was thinking about it today and thought how even in GPL I used to pick the Honda or BRM quite often because it seemed like all you ever saw were Lotus and Ferrari.

And I like the thought that if I win it would not be just because I picked the fastest car in the class like everyone else.

Maybe for clarity you could make the message "FXO set 3% intake restriction" I think that would be much more clear and descriptive, and what about the 20kg ballast? Is that still required then? +1 for no pit stops, or at least lengthen the races if you are going to keep them, four laps and a stop just breaks up a good dice most times. I hate when I am having a really good dice with another car only to have to break it off because I am in my pit window.

Yeah bud, do as many as you like . That shade of green is good looking for a race car isn't it? Between those and whatever you come up with for the Oregon livery I should be good to go!!

Fantastic! Only suggestion I might have is to make the Orange color a bit 'brighter' unless that's just the render washing it out a bit. I'll look to see if I can find some pics of the other livery. Great work! Do you need me to find anything to help with the Oregon livery? Let me know.

Number would be 47 on both if you please. As far as sponsors on the A1 GP Ireland car just replicate that as closely as possible right down to the sponsors.

On the Oregon car I guess maybe some sponsors that represent the northwest like Starbucks coffee, Columbia Sportswear, Falcon Northwest Computers, Full Sail Brewing Company, those should be good. And perhaps somehow a plug for this group that I work with on the car somewhere http://www.operationsmile.org/.
