Quote from Töki (HUN) :What's that on your bumper? Looks like a trailer connector plug.

It looks like a plug for plugging a car into the mains when you live in a cold country, or your vehicle is left standing for a long time. The trucks we use in Mountain Rescue all have them, so we leave them plugged in while in storage. That way everything is charged when needed.
Goes to engine block heater/interior electricity plug.
My car is showing more technical difficulties. If the repair will cost me a bunch of money that the car isn't worth (it is an 1996 Mazda Xedos6 1.6L) what car would be best for me?

I like sedans (coupé with BMW..) and don't have much to spend (preferrably below 2000 euros). I know a lot of you have BMWs here, but the BMWs I like are above my limit. I like the 3 series above the year 2000 (these have a little smoother look in the front not the hooky look that the old ones have).
Quote from ColeusRattus :Nah, it's not a chavs car because i's cheap, but because chavs buy it. And it seems chavs over here are wealthier than in the UK... Don't worry, I get that a Golf isn't a chav car in olde engerland, but it is in austria, germany and switzerland.

And I do know what a chav is, and what a chav's equivalent is over here. we call them "Prolet" or "Prolo"... It's basically the same thing. I think yobbo was the english term before chav became fashion.

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2804704.htm - Mk5, 1.9TDi, Alloys, much specage and just £3,750, before you start to haggle. I bet you could get him down to 3k flat without breaking a sweat.

Or maybe what you want is a Mk4? No problem, just £995 pre-haggling. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2831360.htm

That is without actually trying to find a cheap one.

What about that? It was posted on the ukmkiv/v/vi forum and we've all been having a right old laugh. Only thing is, I used to see that car every day as it's about a 5 minute walk from where I work!

In fact you couldn't be much more wrong..

This is what the engine block heater plug looks like in my car http://aijaa.com/v.php?i=001088144069.jpg

There is also a newer, smaller version by Defa, in my moms vw http://aijaa.com/v.php?i=008758144056.jpg

It's also, as pointed out earlier, quite common to wire a socket for an interior heater in the engine block heater plug http://aijaa.com/v.php?i=004688144059.jpg

They're nice cars, my Dad has an IS220d. Only thing I think it needs is a drop in ride hight as they are quite high compared to BMWs etc.
Quote from mrodgers :What's the dildo coming out of your hood (oops, bonnet) for?

Might be a parasol...

BLERGH! I hope the owner didn't think that is what a Ferrari 360 looks like. That is the most disgusting thing I've seen for a long time, nothing fits right. Your Corsa was somewhat less chavy because whoever ruined it actually did a good job, not a slap dash project.

i have to agree. this is a fine example of how to spend a fortune f*cking up both a car and a body kit. VeeDubs are like Beemers imo, the more subtle your mods, the better it will look. bigger rims and de-badged is all that wee motor needed.

Aww (soon to be gone)

What? No, don't get rid, ignoring the fact it is low, that is a nice MX5. Keep it man.

Is it just me, or is the front seat headroom on the newer Lexus models rediculously low?

I got in this GS430 that my dad is selling today, and even with the seat as low as it will go my head was still almost touching the roof.. and I'm not tall. It seems to be the same on my grandad's IS as well

Don't know about other models but the IS is ok. It feels very..."snug", for example the windscreen seems really small and the doors etc go up quite high but it's a nice place to be. I'm about 6ft.
