Hi,

Check 1 was negative
Check 2 aswell

Results :

Check 3 : I don't have a firewall. Only Microsoft Security Essentials. I also found no firewall option there so I guess that not the problem aswell.

I timed out yesterdayevening and from that moment I couldn't connect to any server anymore. The hostlist didn't load anymore aswell.

Thanks in advance if anyone could help me !
I tried the pinging again and now I get this. It still doesn't work though

Hi, welcome to the LFS and the forum. Too bad to hear that you're having trouble connecting. Going through this thread, what I understand is that since you can ping the master server the basic stuff seems to be working. The problem might lie with your router or your ISP as discussed here:

Quote from Calbond :Only a few servers come up for me and it wont let me on even if i use join specific host it loads until messages then says Host did not recieve UDP packet.

Quote from Victor :We've done a lot of research into reasons why that could happen but we could only conclude that either your router or ISP is having problem routing UDP packets. Some ISP's seem to block really tiny UDP packets for example. Others just don't like UDP at all, albeit temporary usually.

Check your firewall and router settings so that LFS is allowed to communicate via UDP packets. I'm not sure if in this case if the ISP is blocking the UDP packets...

Hopefully someone who knows about these will help you out. Good luck!
What is with master server?

DEDI say: "Could not connect to master server."

EDIT: problem with my ISP, I think...
Sky Broadband does not let me run servers, but Zen did, it looks like a isp problem.

Also master servers can get grouchy if you keep starting and stopping a server, the master tends to ignore servers like that for a few hours.
"Host did not recieve UDP packet"
I've been having this problem for quite some while now. It's not from the router, nor the ISP. I tried joining on my other PC, and it worked. What could be the problem? Please help me!

CHECK 3 - firewall settings
If still nothing works, you should check your firewall settings. This normally is a last resort, because by default most firewalls do not block _outgoing_ connections. But some do. Unfortunately I cannot assist you with this in detail because I do not know which firewall you have and a very wide variety of them is available. Too much to list here. So please consult the manual of your firewall (or router).
Did.
Bump!
The problem you're having doesn't have anything to do with the master server. The error message you're getting indicates that there's a problem somewhere between you and the computer that's running the LFS server you're trying to join. If you're sure that your ISP or router is not blocking or shaping UDP traffic, it's very likely a misconfigured firewall.
how come it says "initial sync lost" PLEASE HELP ME!
