Was VERY surprised at how much I enjoyed "Angels & Demons", considering how bad "DaVinci Code" was!
Angels and Deamons was was on the worst films I have ever seen in a cinema. I just hated it. it was overly unrealistic and generally poor acting and a story that didn't captivate me.

Watched Boondock Saints last night. One of my all time favs, Highly reccomended.
Quote from DevilDare :Watched Transformers:Revenge of the Fallen with GF/Mates today. Absolutely blown away by the movie

I am usually very sceptical about these kind of movies (Imported from cartoons) simply because the quality sucks and it doest feel as good. This however, amazing. Awesome graphics, awesome music, good storyline and Megan Fox was looking hotter than ever

I do not recommend it, I am telling you to go see it. Even if you dont like fiction/sci-fi genre, still give it a try. Because the movie is really good and enjoyable.

Awaiting number 3 now, because the ending stronly suggests that

Most definetely, me and the GF went to see it the other night, awesome movie, she wasn't to happy at first that we were going to see it, but even she enjoyed it. The humour is still up to scratch, if not better than the first.

Yea, hopefully they are making the new one allready.

Terminator salvation aswell, freaking crazy film, about 40 minutes into it my jaw hit the floor with all the action that was going on.

Ah i need to watch that still. I feel like i might have a movie bonanza this week So many movies i haven't seen yet
I started to go to cinema again! Last time I was to star wars 3...and now I've seen star trek (I don't recommend that), terminator salvation (i like terminators, this one was ok)...
I wanted to see new transformers - as you can see, I would like to see films which look...good in cinema, but I decided not to, because it supposed to be dubbed and I hate dubbed films...
Now I've just seen "Let the right one in"
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1139797/

cute story, I would recommend this one if you're bit bored...simple, easy and fun
Terminator Salvation was good mindless popcorn action, but on the other hand, Transformers 2 was TOTALLY awful...story is bad, almost all robots are unrecognizable (and im a transformers fan!), movie is WAY too long...3/10.

Best of it was Megan Fox and the R8 - was it an autobot or decepticon, wtf, totally confusing battle scenes.
"Croupier"

Great independent movie with Clive Owen.

...please don´t read any spoilers or reviews, just watch! (preferably together with the missus)

Oh yes, one of my favorites (and my first exposure to Mr. Owen).
The Colour of Magic

Quite enjoyable, if you can live with movies being different to the novels they're based on. And you have to like Terry Pratchett.
The Hangover

Funny lightweight movie no serious plot but pure awesome
Hunger

Very graphic, and occasionally a bit romanticised, but the conversation between Bobby Sands and Father Dominic, is a riveting bit of acting, even though the camera is utterly immobile for a 17 minute single take.

Like Gomorrah there's very little attempt to manipulate your emotions into identifying positively with anyone. This is something rare and beautiful in film these days. To look at a very brutal time and to so nearly never flinch once is worth at least an hour or two of your time.
The World's Fastest Indian, great film and it's on BBC1 right now.
Primer, DWB nagged me to watch it weeks ago and finally I got round to watching it, i'm not sure what to say about it really, I liked the last 30 mins or so, but before then it was quite boring.

However the theorys behind it all was rathergood.com, should really watch it again tho!
Off to see Transformers 2 tonight

Speaking of which, I saw the Hangover last week Was a pretty funny movie actually, just don't expect to need any brain power. Like, less than Superbad
Teen madness 5
Das Boot.

If you like ships, wars and a realistic told story, I can't recommend it enough.

A truly epic film, and as long as your not one of those that get put of by subtitles, then it's a must see imo, its most definitely in my top 5 war film category.

Keeping the war them going, just watched A Bridge Too Far it views as a who's who in Holywood at that time.
Just finished watching "21" with the GF, and its a great film.

Going to be watching "SexDrive" after dinner too, as it looks bloody hilarious.

I quite enjoyed it - it was 'an entertaining romp' if anything. My first annoyance was that Michael Bay did the thing again though of only having the robots there to blow stuff up. One of the charms of the original cartoon was the relationships between the robots. I can't see thousands upon thousands of 10-year-olds the world over sobbing at the death of *this* Optimus Prime.
Second annoyance was the reliance on stupid wisecracking voices for certain characters, which always irritates me in a film.

Those who like their military hardware *have* to see this, even if you think the film itself is silly. The last 30 minutes is just aircraft-tanks-and-guns-porn.
Ice Age 3
haven't been in cinema for years. It was certainly watchable and if you don't have anything better to do there's no reason to avoid it.

Das Boot's a must see and if you're at it get the uncut version, 5 hours of boring movie, one of my favourite movies.
Been said on page 24, but I'll say I really liked Master and Commander. Anyone know of similar seabound movies set in the era?
Master & Commander is one of the greatest film released in this decade IMO. I have watched it countless times. And would eagerly wait for any sequels if only they made them (unfortunately the film was marketed as a naval gladiator while ideally it could have been called a sequel to Dead Poets Society... so it fared poorly at the box office and the producers won't prolly put a dime more in that franchise )

The flipside is you won't find anything that can match it. However, Hornblower is enjoyable, and set in about the same time period, it follows the adventures of a young midshipman who will become a skilled officer in spite of the odds being against him.

Recommend a film you've seen lately.
