If I remember correctly, it was 512 objects... but somehow I do remember it was even less that some point... at least not all the objects were available in every track environment. For example, Ramps were only in use at Blackwood.

And they were slippery too and hitting them caused a vehicle to go either through or flying into the skies. Also it was impossible to put them on air, so had to be seriously creative to make wallride platforms in first place back then.


I am also not claiming that this should be currently in highest priority, but I do not see a point why it can't be raised in Layout Square straight away. Sure, it will cause an impact in performance wise when exceeding high number of entities included. On the other hand, people are using plenty of unofficial addons and texture packs to increase a demand and in some parts not in lightly at all.

But... have to be patient. I have waited an update since 2008 about tyre physics. I have three times gone in hiatus. Last hiatus was supposed to be a permanent.. only to be getting dragged back at LFS again lol. How wrong I was... completely.

But one fact is not changed: it is currently bottlenecked.

I guess the biggest issue is usually creating smooth corners with concrete slabs. I created one corner... ONE... one banked corner that vehicles do not break suspension immediately at high speed... and that did eat already 1055 objects... it didn't even count as walls yet.



I think this is a bit conflicting... Scawen has mentioned from time to time about the current situation and upcoming plausible updates about layout objects ( and probably size limit too )... but most of us already bottlenecked it for sure.

I do need more for instance. I also understand that the track editor itself would be helpful so no need to use layout objects ever again...

...false. Layout objects will ALWAYS be in use... in final resort as insim objects.

EDIT: As 29.10.2025, I updated Fastional layout:

First ramp entrance is more smoother and slightly more wider. Also it looks no longer set on thin air.
Added more scenery objects and blocked certain paths ( doesn't really matter, but gives more scenery as well )
The U-turn exit is also now more smoother, although slightly.

I do not mind power figures as in theory that kind of power can be set, but what triggers me most is that it has no bottom floor and car tends to flip itself back on wheels like a weighted dice.

Ye, that's why we need either a plain GTR/Le Mans version or just "unrestricted works" version.

Btw, this car is indeed unable to take lowest possible corners in flat out, top speed being 394km/h.

I created variable for the current layout, this time you can go faster T1... make sure suspension is not too tight!

I created in fact for compensating cars which cannot have slicks applied, thus not losing that much speed.




Layout will be set on server.

EDIT: Fixed issues on layout.... people who downloaded it before today, please do it so again.

I feel headlights must have some... improvements. It sticks so much out of it due they are bland.

I suggest to focus on that in next update ( and lights in overall )

This vehicle needs R4 slicks... otherwise family trip cannot go VROOMMM in 300kph kinks.

( Not joking though... a serious suggestion )

Alright... I have tested even more cars... and motorbikes of course too... and I have got some rather INTERESTING results.

I am satisfied that there are plenty of different vehicles to drive... slow and fast... big and small, powerful and meaningful.

Unfortunately I have had to disqualify some... or "some" of the mods due some of the configurations are definitely questionable, while some are simply not qualified to take lowest corners in flat out.

Some of them are too slow, some of them has suspension or tire issues and some of them are of course simply too slow, too big, or too fragile.

In any case, I am going to add even more cars to current class. Here's the roster. ( Will be set available right after this post )

I am also developing more layouts... please be patient. And of course, if you have something in your mind, please bravely shout it here and see what's what. ( Track/Lyt change, Car class change, car suggestion ( in case I have missed something ) )

Otherwise... I don't know. Some people wants this, some people wants that. Some people wants both or all of it, some people wants nothing of it.


Personally I am fine with current selection of shader: On / Off , but I do see your point of view. It all depends of where aand what this sim is aiming for as it is currently aiming for realism... at the same time of "realism".

Actually, that suggestion indirectly isn't that meaningless, but as what comment above says... safe to say that realism wasn't the first option in mind.

Classes 200 and 195 is selected in server ( as soon as I am able to, doing the switch immediately after this post )

Finally!


A new layout will be set on the server. I put it on here in case wanting to test it by yourself in elsewhere. Car classes do stay same tho.


Shortly: Layout is very similar to "UM21's 1st Flat Out", but 2nd tight corner is changed to full flat out curve and final 90 degree received a strategic banking. Up to you whether you use it or not.

I have opened 285-290 class.

Containing GTR and GT3 cars as well as few interesting machines. Totaling as 21 different vehicles!

Setups may occur in some point, depending on a interest.

Layout is the same because I have not finished in any due...*sigh*
...running out of object limit. UGH! Blah... lol...meh... hm... hmmmm...

Or I could do without walls but apparently ppl aren't capable of doing that kind of racing... except the 2016-2017 era of drivers.

To make things even more fun, Formula RC14 is added to Class 350 Roster. Setup also included.

( NOTE: It could perhaps run even faster, but diminishing return in cornering speed may occur. )

Oh yeah! There is now Class 350 selected. Fast Formulas, hillclimb racer and 1 Memolution. I will add some more once I tested them but I am currently in an interest of my another project. Stay tuned tho.


EDIT: Added setups! Some of them are capable of having slipstream battles but usually they are for hotlapping. In that case, please adjust them for your own use as you wish.
