You should be able to community flag posts, like craigslist. (Yes, it really works well there!) If one of your posts gets community flagged for a certain offense like spam, (above a predefined threshold) then you will receive a demerit. Gain enough demerits, and you get all your future posts run through a valleygirl filter.
Gosh, like, am I full of, like, good ideas or what?

Reason : I got flagged
To Taavi(EST): You seem somewhat cranky with this topic, despite the fact that your english is 100% better than the typical person this topic is trying to describe. Relax, and realize that it's all in good fun.
The issues being described are simply basic fundamentals that should be a part of any english user's knowledge, and anyone who has read through the internet for a while knows that far too many people make these errors far too often. The SAME errors. (yes that was a fragment) And often by people whose main language is english. We're not talking about 100% perfect punctuation, spelling, and indentation 100% of the time here. I know we're not writing graduate theses on these boards. But it IS a message board, and you have the luxury of time to compose and think a bit on exactly what it is you're typing. (unlike chatting while you're racing )
Mmm, s13s are good cars. I've driven a few myself, but nothing that monstrous. There're few cars available in North America that combine all the advantages of a practical, affordable (INSURANCE TOO!), and fun car like this
Formula: let x = Lexus. if n iterations are desired, then: plural = nx.
Example: if n = 4,
plural = 4x = LexusLexusLexusLexus
Practical example:
Our family is crazy about LexusLexusLexus! My wife drives a 1996 RX300. My eldest boy, for whom I purchased a 2000 IS300, insists on calling his an Altezza or something silly like that. I mean, why would anyone prefer some stupid made up word that begins with the letter 'A' when you can have a car named after its displacement and two arbitrary letters?! Anyhow, my car is a 1995 LS400. Mmm, if I squint I could swear it was an E-class. I love our LexusLexusLexus!
I haven't bought the game itself (using demo) but got the USB receiver adapter so I can use my RL RC radio with PC games. Works really good with VRC btw (not so good with Re-Volt unfortunately). Speaking of which, I should dig it out and try it out with LFS!!!
VRC is a niche sim...you expect higher prices for items like this. I wouldn't say it's overpriced; I'd say it's priced for the market. If the devs expected that over 1 million people would be interested in this then I'm sure they'd lower the price. But I'm sure market research says otherwise. Could Volkswagen mass-produce Lambos for far cheaper than what they go for now? Sure, but would they sell millions? No.
You need the XBCD XP drivers. If you have just the plain XBCD (1.07 or whatever) it will not work for the 360 controller. Also you need to delete the original MS drivers from the /system32/drivers directory before you plug the controller in. Or else the computer will always choose to use the MS (as in crap) drivers no matter how many times you install the XBCD drivers. See device manager for which driver file to delete (while you have the controller plugged in).
Wrong.
With the XBCD XP community drivers you can have separate brake/gas axes for the triggers. It also makes deadzones possible which is awesome. You have to use the XBCD drivers specially tailored for the 360 controller, as the originals were meant for use with the original XBOX controllers.
Also, you will have the actually delete the original MS driver files from the system32\drivers folder before the XBCD driver will be recognized. (basically, unplug the controller, delete the MS driver (you can see what filename to delete by going into the device manager), install the XBCD driver, THEN plug the controller back in. If you do not do this exactly, the computer will never use the driver you want for the controller)
Get a wheel when you can though. I used a 360 controller, and while fun, it just doesn't cut it for extended, competitive (did *I* just say that?!) driving since you actually have to concentrate not to overcook steering inputs (unlike wheels, mice, or joysticks).
Why would you (people in general) even want to be a mod of this forum? Sounds like an awful lot of extra work just for a small title from what I've seen so far.
Ya'll are talking as if 3dsMAX itself didn't cost half a penny
There are free modeling programs out there like blender if you want to get into modeling without spending a couple thou on 3dsMAX. I guess there are 'academic versions' of MAX out there, though.
Yes, it does. More than anything I've seen from anyone else here so far anyway.
No, it doesn't have to have an unwashed civic with twin mufflers at the mall to look "realistic" (as in real life objects or horizons) because I was merely commenting on the way light falls on the scene.
Wow, the render looks very much like reality. Maybe it's because the cars aren't over glossy? The ground texture really helps too, as well as the shading for the dash.
Even a 5 year old T41 (P-m 1.6ghz) with ATI FireGL T2 (pretty much a Radeon 9600) with dedicated memory can run LFS at 60+fps. It's really all about the dedicated memory.
I don't really see why it is such a big deal. It's not like someone is going to be mistaken for being in team "X" when they are running 5 secs behind the leaders in some pub server (oh wait, that's me)
Besides, isn't it nice to actually be able to SEE your skin in action?
