Had the fortune of spotting one of these on the M25 last week, it's not in production yet apparently and had VP11 written on the side... does anyone know about this car? Is this a prototype/test car? Or Jenson going for a Sunday drive?
Bit of a random question here but I'm hoping someone will know!
I've been hearing a cover of Radiohead's "Creep" on the radio (Capital FM) recently with female vocals, quite a "rocky" cover... but I can't find out who it's by!
As for the fake AI times thing, would it have been so hard to port the AI from GRID...?
Codies are going down in my estimations... First they ruin Flashpoint by adding silly time limits to every level so you couldn't approach things your own way, now this...
Got my PS3 copy through today, it's a good game and looks less blingy than GRID/DIRT2. The physics seem to make sense and they're not over-dramatic like in GRID - that understeer on entry and oversteer on exit has gone.
The penalties are over sensitive but the quality of racing is up to Codies' usual standard and the Flashback is a lifesaver.
Didn't try with the DFGT because, well, it's a fun Codies game not a sim.
I did think about getting "Mazda" etc put there, but with something like that you may as well save your money and leave it... I think it has to be something "special" and worth the extra. Hence the Kanji stuff I chose... As long as it's not too expensive!
Driver headrest says "Bling", passenger says "Bitch"? Good idea... j/k
I was thinking "Jinba Ittai" and my name in Kanji or something as it's an MX5... Acceptable (in the 80s)? At least then the new owner could say the Japanese text was of his name...
It must be really different over here. I drive a 70bhp car at the moment and am still quicker than most traffic, as most other cars are just as slow and they don't drive theirs as hard!
Lack of rigidity and soft suspension on a class leading roadster? I'd hate to see what its competitors are like
Mid life?? I hope to live past 42, thank you! And the girls love a hairdresser... right??
It would be a Mk3 MR2 I'm looking at, I can't seem to find out much about it apart from "it's good until it kills you". So still leaning towards the MX...
Was rather hoping for Tristan to jump in on this thread but I'll have to PM him I guess
Sooo, in the next couple of months I'm going to be looking for a RWD convertible...
My budget is upto £4k (depends how much I get for the Aygo), so my choices seem to be a Mk1/early Mk2 MX5 (has been my dream car for a while) or an MR2 and I can't really decide.
I hear the MX5 is more predictable and fun handling-wise but both are pretty much perfect in "normal" driving. Thing is if I did get an MX5 I'd probably want a Mk1 and finding a decent one with an airbag and leather seats isn't going to be easy...
Opinions please!
(PS: Leaning towards the MX5 as it seems more happy to go sideways without piling into a tree...)
