Quote from Lacko86 :Is it possible to change car/class during the season without losing every points in the championship?

Yes.
Quote from Eclipsed :I believe that's the general idea of OPEN endurance cup!

Yes, that was why I chose OPEN Endurance Cup rather than relaunching the New Endurance Cup, Dom and I did a while ago.
Quote from Székely :"Teams can choose in which class and car they are participating in until 30 minutes befor the start of the race. The choice has to be announced in the designated thread. Late changes to the team's car and/or class are penalised with a drive-through penalty at the start of the race."

There has been a case of drastic cutting with time advantage. The driver was fair enough to confess it. His times from today will be removed and a barrier is installed.

Qualifying is underway! Remember that it is mandatory to drive at least one timed lap!
Round 4 [May 29, 2016] 3 hours of Westhill International
TFalke55
S3 licensed

Qualifying will run from 21 May 2016 15:30UTC until Sun, 29 May 2016 15:30UTC. Drivers can drive as many laps as they wish to. A team needs at least one timed lap to be allowed to start the race. E.g. it is enough that one driver of the team sets a lap. If more then one driver of a team sets a lap time, the faster time will be taken for the starting line-up. The end of the qualifying also marks the deadline for changes to the team's line-up, class or car.

The qualifying password will be published here, so teams, that sign-up can directly do qualifying, even when noone's sending them a password. Please always drive with your correct name format on the server, so it is easier to do the qualifying results. Wink
server: Open Endurance Cup
password (with the start of the qualifying): SrCeTvC

Qualifying standing available online at http://newdimensionracing.com/preqtracker/qtracker.php - times are pulled from the server at the top of every hour.

Race starts at 16:00UTC, with the gridding at 15:50UTC. The new Westhill circuit offers plenty of room but also some fast corners, where overtaking/-lapping is not ideal. Please keep this in mind for the race.

Quote from jkat :Round (1, 2, 3, 4 or 5): 3
Session of Incident (Qualifying*, Race): Race
Protestor's LFS Lap: 120
Timecode of Incident (EITHER MPR time OR Time of Day): 2:31:39.xx
Your Car number: 04
Protested Car number(s): 18
Brief description of incident:
#04 was lapping #18 after sc1 on lap 120 and was already slightly ahead when #18 turns to side of #04 causing #04 to bounce on left side wall of the track. This causes heavy damage on left side of car chassis and car comes very difficult to drive. Most probably caused loosing at least one position in final results.

Car 18 receives a drive-through penalty, converted to post-race 20 seconds addded to the finishing time.

Driver eX.R Asco may (Ascona b) drive for eXtrem Racing #2 in Round 3. Since it is not possible to edit oneself out of a team and into another, he asked to take his teammate's car, who is not makeing it to today's race.

Quote from pantiainen :Hey! Our 2nd team, StFin would like to announce 3rd driver. Is that possible? Otherwise Jesse would have to drive all alone.

Just keep in mind that skill, experience and speed levels vary significantly in Grid 2 and you have to take compromises in your choice of racing lines when lapping and to stay on an expectable line when being lapped.

To be honest, having proper RX cars would be nicer to have then this compromise.

Speaking of Germany: A Ford F150 would be too big (Some of the regular roads would even be too small for a car of 2,40m width) and too heavy. You'd need a license for little lorries to de facto drive one of these on the roads. A driving license in Germany costs depending on how good (how many lessons your driving teacher wants you to take) you are something between 1500-2000€ With a fuel consumption of 0,2 l/km driving one km would cost currently 0,24€ a daily commuter trip (average 55km) would therefore cost around 6600€/year. Moreover these cars are not exported so it is not a regular walk to the store and order one, but a little bit more of an effort.

I'm missing the words describing my surprise about this thread actually... But having moved quite a few times, using a rented Renault Master, a Mercedes A-class and a Smart Coupé are all you need for a household Big grin
