Awesome broadcast Only thing I noticed is that some people changed nationalities a few times and a wrong result in one of the -i think it was- final or semi-final races..
Ferrari had those last year.. and remember how it FAILED?
As far as i could see, the guy from the wheel was trying to put the fairing back on but failed as the car was allowed to take off. On the onboard video you can clearly see the fairing spinning with the wheel like creazy. Not having the fairing put on properly, probably also caused the wheelnut not to be on the right way so it came off aswell.
Wheelnuts are put on in the same direction as the wheel is spinning, so a spinning wheel can't loosen it (it tightens the nut). The only way it can some off, is if it's not on right, and those fairings play a big part in how it's put on. Banning the use of them will eliminate a factor in wheels coming off, but will never garentee it from happening again.
Anyway, the ban is an over the top penalty, it clearly shows the FIA are uncapable of judging incidents in a consistend way as similar (or worse) accidents didn't had the same punisment (if at all).
They have failed to take their own rules seriously on many occations and giving fair punishments. F1 is doomed as long as the FIA controls it.
If Renault really doesn't start next race I think many of the Spanish fans will stay at home.. or at least there will be a big drop in ticket sales..
Anyway.. Bourdais is out for good I think.. Massa needs a replacement.. and Nelson will be kicked out soon I guess.. so Renault has to find a replacement as well..
For Ferrari I think Schumacher is a option worth thinking about. But If I were him I wouldn't do it, he stopped at a right moment, he was at the top and when you're at the top, there's only one way to go.. and that's down.. He'ed beter keep the honour to himself rather than risking a comeback and perhaps fail miserably.
They did tests and Bourdais just wasn't good enough.. on high fuel (heavy car) he did ok.. but low fuel for quali he just couldn't deliver.. And overall.. The results weren't coming.. he was on his second season with a pretty decent car (Vettel won with it last year).
Ohwell.. We'll just have to wait and see who Ferrari will put in the car..
