The trouble with that is that, for a forum, you really do need a full screen. With a bar on the left it would be hard to post pictures etc. But they could make a menu for the top of the screen, in the same style as the lfs website.

I think it should be based on online credits and not credits on the game. Last week I had to reinstall LFS and I now only have 1200 credits soo.. that will be bad for me if it is based on offline credits.

Yeh that would be really useful. At the start of a race, the info about the race doesn't stay on the screen for long enough so you can't see whether you have to pit or not.

Yeh it would be great to have all the se things but you have to remember how much work all these little things add up to. We already have the best driving sim in the world.

The most important thing for me, that has to be fixed is the reaction of some solid objects when they are crashed into. Particularly red barriers and banners.

And its just a hastle for 'pro' drivers to blast through the tests, you should be able to use all the cars and tracks right away offline.

However I will stretch to allowing a server option to prevent drivers who haven't passed the tests(have enough credits etc) from joining.

All you elete drivers can tuck yourselfs away in a protected server and the sinners and spinners can still have some online f08 fun.

Did the credit system help much in s1? Nope . Practice is the only thing that makes a good driver.

That's what happens with all games. It extends the gameplay and actually imoroves your driving.

Well I think that something like the GT4 system maybe present as there are currently lessons on driving a car in S2, although you don't have to take them to driv any of the cars.

i think u may have to do a certain amount of them to get a car. We will have to wait and see :P

hmmm. I'm not sure about this. Instead of thumbnail images, which would take up a large amount of ram. How about a rollover preview? when you roll your mouse over the skin name, a preview would appear o how it would look on the car. Saves space and solves the problem?

no that is just an example. Real credit amounts haven't been released yet but I imagine something around that figure wouldn't be too far out.

I spent two weeks at home making our team skins. Welcome to the club

with the S2 Alpha release there is curently no use of credits because they wanted the game to be tested freely without any restrictions.

but,

in the final release of S2, you will have to have a certain amount of credits to unlock a specific car / track. .e.g 400 for FXR and 2,000 for FO8 etc.

I can't wait for engines to start blowing up

will be great fun on kyoto lol. people will be dropping like flies :P :P
