I installed Windows 7 just now and LFS runs the same as in XP, no problems yet. I unlocked normally and connected to a server normally without any problems. This is good considering the extremely limited driver support right now, the ATI drivers are still in the eaarly stages but I did not get any crashes or slowdowns. So this is good news for anyone who wants to use Windows 7.

You never know until you try. I'm gonna try it too, probably by tomorrow we'll know.

If it were me I would get the G25, it's much better than that Xbox controller you're using. What are the specs on your laptop btw? Does it run LFS well?

You may have to update the files for the latest patch, remember the XR files were modified somewhat with Patch Z.

My personal favorite is the silver and black one.

I drive a corolla too, and I just don't have enough space to turn my foot to press the brake with the toe and the gas with the heel. There's just no space under the steering wheel for my knee, so heel and toe is not really possible for me, maybe I'm just too big for the car. But pressing the gas with my toe and the brake with my heel would be possible, though I've never tried it.

You have to keep in mind that the 12 pounds per stage idea was thought of almost 10 years ago by the devs. Times have changed though. Inflation and the current economic instability will definitely raise that price by the time S3 comes out. So be prepared to pay around 20 or 30 pounds for S3.

I'd happily pay $100 for S3 if that was the price. My reason is that, after so many years of playing S2 for the one-time payment of 24 pounds, I feel like the devs deserve more for such a great game that's provided me with so many years of fun. That's why I would happily pay them any price for S3, because I know it will be just as much fun as S2, if not more fun, for many more years to come.

You're trying to upgrade the video card on a laptop? You can't do that, they are integrated into the motherboard, it's not as simple as taking the old one out and putting in the new one. Some high-end laptops like some alienwares come with upgradable video cards, but regular laptops are stuck with whatever they have.

Windows is Windows, it doesn't matter which system you run it on, that's the point.

And how is 34 degrees bad? That's a very good temp. A bad temp would be 100 degrees. What's the temp when you're playing games?

Yes it works for Z, the smoke file hasn't changed.

Which CPU is overheating? Your E8400? That can't be. I have E8400 with stock fan and it runs at 40 degrees. Always. Even in games. Granted, I have good airflow in my case.

It's really thick smoke, I don't recommend it for rallycross.

I guess it's not a bug since it's been rendered like that forever, but there is a lot of room for improvement, at least a little anti-aliasing would help greatly. As for that ambient shadow thing under the car, I only noticed it when you pointed it out to me, otherwise I would have never seen it . But I continue to disagree with Scawen's "Improved shadows" comment, at least until the shadow gets some AA.
