Just wondering a couple things about the awesome MD render. Do you change the car models at all? Smooth the edges etc to make it look more realistic. Also is the paint material as complicated as it looks? Also, Vray, brazil, MR or other?
Great fan of your work Morrow, it all looks so perfect.
Do you ever release scenes? I'd love to see how some of the stuff you do is done, it all looks so real :lovies3d:
Also you spelt 'Designs' wrong in the corner
Edit : JUst checked your site and noticed the LX/RB4 scenes. They look nice. I can understand if you never want to release a scene like you've shown above however the work that went into it must have been rather alot
I'm not a huge photoshop master so I rarely make my own textures, but I do all of the materials in max. I usually start with a brazil scene and delete all of the extra bits and then start making all the materials for vray. Then add the curved floor and start playing with lights illepall
I'm a bit lazy so remapping the cars is just too much for my epic lazyness
As for the wheels there's a few out there that look very LFS-ish except higher poly and generally nicer. I will always use this if I have the chance since nice smooth wheels really do add to the render
I'm not sure how you can really say things like that about other people when you're here argueing about things that really, really don't matter. You've made your point. Go.
I'm not really on anyones side here considering this is just 'I'm right! No I'm right' fight. But whatever. I'll go find a dead horse and a stick for you all to play with
This thread has just gotten stupid and no one is willing to be the better person and stop argueing. Everyone is familiar with the 'Argueing on the internet' picture. Learn from that.
After a little more playtime I've decided I really like the track, good mix of corners and quite a challenge in places. Also some curbs can really punish you
Physics really do fall between LFS and nKP, slightly more toward the nKP side if anything. Feels nice to get the power down and have the back step out slightly Really wish the car was the other one in the screenshot section and not the FF, but the FF is fine. Hard to test the netcode still with people trying to host 10 people on their slow home connection but I think underneath it's solid.
Not had any crashes though, which is surprising for a game in a pre-alpha state. Very solid piece of software. Easy to configure graphics, controls etc. Car setup is confusing but then that may be because my setup skills are average at best.
