I still use firefox mainly because of the extensions. But Opera, for me atleast, loads most pages a lot faster than firefox ever has.

Either way they're both better than IE

Probably fiddling around in the Image > Adjustments area.. There's no filter to make an image 'real'.

Also perhaps sharpen it, that can make it look a bit nicer

I'll probably add some more to the scene tomorrow. Like a barrier and more detailed parts. But after a few hours work this is what I have

Yea I'm not modelling the pits or texturing the start grid. But it'll be near a curb which I just made and have some various photoshop touches to make it look swanky

When you said you wanted it on a track do you mean 'parked' with the wheel turned or 'racing' where the car is on the racing line?

Opera is quite a bit faster than firefox.. but I still prefer to use firefox for some reason.

As for fasters problem, do you have SP2?

Yes tyres are..annoying. Thanks for the comment about my renders though, when I look back at some of my earlier ones I realise just how bad they were .

And no I haven't tried the post-patch FOX, but I get some really odd reflections on the sidepod of the BF1. Just a huge bright patch that ignore reflections and shadows it seems. I've changed smoothing to no avail and moved the poly's around a bit also to no avail. Very annoying. Ah well.

Do you have MSN Messenger or anything? No one on my contacts has any idea what I mean when I say render and when I get stuck I've no one to ask

I spent most of the time on the tyre texture. But my render times are under a minute and look almost as good as using settings that take about an hour to render.

It's the full version. As for the vray thing I recommend you stick with Brazil for now. vRay is definately harder to use (I find) plus there are no ready made scenes for it.

I use 3ds Max 8 and vRay.

As for the other thing it looks like you're using Ian H's scene, which should work fine. Have you changed anything?
