its an essential part of lfsw because of the live alert system!
in 90% of all cases when I start LFS, I have seen some buddy online and joined only because of the LA notification.

just an idea, maybe a timezone lag made lfsw count some laps for another day?

just wanted to say here that the new sounds are amazingly good on my notebook's speakers (however)... much much much better than with my headset...
(I guess because the notebook speakers have almost no bass)

The turbo is really annoying in most cockpit views, though

Something like this was actually planned to be in lfsworld, alongside with a far more detailed racer and team search, but, however, it didnt make it into the current lfsw because of technical restrictions and prolly some other reasons.

The blackscreen bug happened only rarely, and is fixed for everyone now, atleast no reports since the test patch that finally fixed the bug.

Sp if your screen turns black all the time, I guess the resolution isnt supported, or the dual monitor thingie isnt setup correctly. If the bug doesnt happen with only one screen (only laptop built-in tft), its not an LFS bug.

Well, I guess there is a huge difference between "pro" and "noob", so you cant really categorize a race if you dont know him a lot.

ALWAYS ask the author before using / modifying ANY skin file, except the default ones. If you dont know who the autor is, DO NOT use the skin.

Imo the sounds are not really better compared to the U patch, but different. I guess they are more realistic, but sounding a bit "flat" / without punch.

I like the new sounds aswell, but all cars sound a bit low revving, Im always shifting a lot too late. Maybe about 1000 rpm in the GTR/Formulas and 500 in the road cars.

I'd say U36 = "rooooawr"
Not "rrroooooaaaaawrwrrwrrwararararrrrrrr" yet, but already much closer than in any other LFS version
