it's a right corner so most weight is loaded onto the left front tyre and the right is mostly "unemployed"...

erm, but don't the cars have "considerable" pros and cons?
At least they did until "patchday"
right?

just let "reality" decide the pro's and con's about cars...
If it's simulated "real" enough then there's no point in complaining if one or more cars need extra weight/power to be more competative.

it's like the circle of life.
You start small, to learn living. (as a baby, discovering the world)
You end small, living your life-evening... (as old man, with one or the other disease)

analogue to the controllers...

but most of us aren't professionals, and for that i think it's one of the better movies considering size/framerate/bitrate.
sadly many "internet" movies/trailers/clips lack a bit of quality...

good work, mate

Quote from sgt.flippy :I think you just have to keep your racing line, and if the car behind is a lot faster, just slow bit down, use your indicators to let the guy know where to pass. I thought this thread was about the blue flag being there for too long. I have no trouble when I get a blue flag, it just gets annoying if the guy just doesn't pass me, or it takes a long time and it keeps telling me I got a blue flag.

IF he/she even manages to come into strike-distance before making a mistake...
But once there i've ablosutely no problem in providing easy pass opportunies.

hi, i'd like to have the possibility to watch the spr,mpr files without having to start lfs everytime.
Because everytime i'm reading the forum and someone posts some mpr about something, i always have to start lfs first.
Which is annoying since lfs isn't the "speediest" apllic.

thx

Quote from NotAnIllusion :The driver being shown the blue flag does not need to do anything to move out of the way until the lapping driver makes a pass, in which case the flagged driver should willingly yield instead of driving defensively or racing the passing driver.

With the exception that if there is a long twisty section ahead during which the passing driver will catch the passee, it makes sense to slow down a bit on the straight and letting the pass take place there instead of risking getting driven over in the upcoming section.

Not hard, really.

+1 very good description, share your oppinion...

I let the lappers come about into "strike distance" then i let them easily pass. Sometimes this never happens and the lapper makes a "spin" (mistake), poor guy...

Quote from Bob Smith :Yep, most road cars produce some lift, usually more at the rear than at front.
The effect is minor, but worth including. Should make the road cars a bit more fun at high speeds too. :mischievo

first, i'm not good at aerodynamics, but i always thought that normal roadcars don't lift their axles, more like beeing pushed/sucked down, due to air flowing over/under the car...

like the ground effect on some early F1 cars, but much smaller though.

what if the roadies already do that, and you just can't measure it?

so how can you tell they don't in the first place?

pretty time intensive, but how do you avoid the opposite of dropped frames (double recorded frames)?
Or does fraps sync itself?

Quote from Matrixi :Another slowmo movie by me, I hope you will like this.

50FPS / 720x420 / 2000kbit/s / DivX & Mp3 / 34MB

tell me please, how did you lay your fingers onto the frames?
Since Fraps doesn't seem to handle "big" capture sizes with moderate rates...

thx

erm, yes, in left corner the left (inner) tyre can lock due to high braking values.

sorry overread the thread title...

just a guess, this happens only in right turn corners?
well, do some laps till it occurs, and watch your replay in slow motion, with the "F" funtion ON.
If you see the tyre LIFTING into the air, then you have the worst scenario.
Try to lower the "rebound damping" i guess this prevents the damper too relax to normal-zero, thus lifting the tyre.
So the tyre doesn't get the needed amount of load to sustain rotation with your braking values...
