Yeah coal is what I ended up using as I spent the available trees in torches, it just takes a lifetime to collect enough of coal to get out of the solar system (200 fuel IIRC).
I had it pretty rough with my first charecter too before this patch. Started on a tiny little first planet with only like 5 trees in it, no NPC villages, no structures or dungeons or anything. Of course it was also the only planet in the whole solar system so I needed lots of fuel just to get out of there. Hard knock life, man.
There's supposedly a charecter wipe coming with the next game balancing patch, I hope I can still keep the stuff inside my ship... it's FULL of precious loot.
Edit: Patch went live, all old charecters and ships wiped.
Heh Tristan, I've found it to be completely opposite regarding street cars and hotlapping.
The E92 GT racer and the Formula are propably the worst cars for me in AC when hotlapping because they're so easy and drama free, then again they also punish you the most for small mistakes. Street cars have their own floppiness and a wider margin for error when tickling the limit of their chassis' that gives me an epic adrenaline rush, both in real life and sims.
Actually nope, as Toyota didn't qualify in to the second round of voting while Nissan did. Sadly it'll never get more votes than that GT-R race car.
I'm also going to get a lot of flak for this, but while E30 M3 may be iconic, it's also a shit car when it comes to technical design. While BMW gave it a different floor plate and chassis compared to standard E30's, they still stuck with the catastrophically bad suspension geometry that all E30's share. If given the choice between stock E30 M3 and a S13-S15 Silvia in AC, I'd take the Datsun ANY day.
Real life doesn't have an endless free supply of fresh tires or fuel. Real life doesn't allow you to travel around the worlds racetracks in seconds without paying yourself sick for ferries and flights. Real life doesn't allow you to change your cars setup by clicking your mouse buttons a few times. Real life doesn't allow you to trash your car around without a single worry of your safety or what happens to your car.
Seriously BF, we all know your stupidity is beyond human measures, but atleast try to think for once.
Is the AC drift spec E30 average too? Silvias are good for one thing, and that is drifting. No way in a million years would they only include a stock model of that car.
I found my stock'ish S13 plenty fun to drive on twisty roads however, same with the stock R32 GT-R.
Silvia needs votes badly. Why are people so much in to hardcore race cars? I find them the most boring to drive in all sims. With the exception of that Group B Audi, that one got my vote.
Starbound is a 2D indie game, kind of like Terraria but you can travel around with your spaceship to other procedurally generated planets and explore them. Clocked over 35 hours of playtime already and I'm loving it, even though the beta has some bugs. Anyone else been playing this?
While I've accepted how LFS ended up (although I'd love it to be much more than it is) the music disc comparison doesn't really make much sense.
When you buy an music album, which is a completely different medium in both usage and pricing in itself compared to video games, you ARE buying a complete and finished entertainment product.
You don't buy an album and expect to have it missing certain instruments or vocals from some songs which may or may not be added later after you've purchased it.
Totally agree. Not giving an option for the first car is the most retarded thing PD has done to date, and they've done a lot of stupid crap. I still remember the red RX-7 convertible that I bought as my first car in GT2 and the AE86 in GT3, those were good times.
I was 50/50 about buying GT6 on launch, now after reading first impressions around the web, I have no desire at all to get it.
