Launching a system seller game for the previous generation console at the same time as the next generation console launches... what.

After 10+ years on a 8/1Mbit connection, this is pure heaven now. Thinking about trying out the 350/20 connection that the ISP is offering in this region now.

I see. Well, they were shit to drive in any case.

Not in my opinion, no, they aren't good either.

And I'm pretty sure those are Simbin games, not by Slightly Mad.

Quote from rediske :As I am not getting why some people here seem to be so much in a hurry to get their refund from the game they once decided to support...

Please tell me, is it because you didn't like the game in the first place or why did you decide to do so?

The only reason I "supported" it was because there was no demo and I believed some of the people on this very forum who said it actually has a decent tire model and physics even in its current state. I simply don't have any confidence in the pcars devs ever getting the physics anywhere even close to a drivable state, given their previous track record with NFS Shift etc. If they somehow do manage to make it a worthy contender in the sim genre, then I'll pick the game up at full price, as doubtful as it is.

Got my refund aswell, no more regret. Kudos to the pcars devs.

Quote from MAGGOT :... You always could request a refund. Many have, and every single one got it.

Not. I know a person who requested a refund (within a month of purchase) and was denied because he had already been "playing the game" and hence no refund. He ended up selling his entire account.

Anyway, asked for my 25€ back as soon as this new announcement was made, no reply yet.

Just a heads up to others who might be disappointed by PCARS after taking the dive with your wallets in to the unknown, you can now request a money back refund.

Quote :Following lengthy discussions with the FSA and our lawyers and other professionals, we are going to make some changes to pCARS and WMD.

The finer detail has not been finalised but recent comments have made us decide to make one feature of WMD and pCARS very clear to all members.

That is that anyone who is a member can have their money back at any time.

It's a racing game under the simulator genre.

Fixed.

Haha, indeed. No question about winning the most inappropriate credit roll music choice. Apparently the ending music started playing 2 minutes early for some HBO streamers aswell, can imagine the last scene to have been a bit weird to watch with that playing.

Pod is a total pimp though.

I'm pretty sure it's fake, like all PS3 and 360 emulators have been so far. I mean emulating a PowerPC 970 CPU that smoothly using currently available PC hardware? We've barely gotten to the stage where we can emulate a PS2 with the hardware we have now. Also, why don't they have a homepage or any kind of website for this claimed emulator, just a random fishy download link? That game footage could also be just as well captured from the PC version, just edited to run in a overlay of a mockup program. Not convinced.

I'll be glad if I'm proved wrong, but I'm sceptical as hell about this.

Ahh, Stunt Car Racer on Amiga 1000... the first touch to sim racing!

The physics were so damn far ahead of their time in that game compared to anything else.

Yeah, I'd love a full frame too, but they are way out of my price range. If motorsports is all you shoot, then you might want to look in to a 7D, it's a crop sensor but great at shooting fast moving objects. I spent some four years on a 300D with kit lens and another three years on 400D with kit lens. I guess the kits have gotten a bit better now that they atleast have IS on them and slightly improved optics, but the difference to a kit lens when I got the 18-135mm STM for my 650D was... significant to say the least.

To avoid going completely offtopic, I'd advise the OP to stick with either a Canon or Nikon. They're easily the most popular ones out there, and that means cheaper used lenses so you can actually make the most use of the body.

I haven't. Why the hell would you endanger the life of other motorists and pedestrians by doing something stupid like that while driving?

Quote from danthebangerboy :Could a gfx update cause a ram chip to die

No, just bad luck and timing. The RAM chips were propably already on their way out. If you want to make sure they are the ones faulty rather than a component on your motherboard, plug the suspected bad sticks back in and run Memtest86+.

You're pretty much going to be looking at used cameras with that kind of budget. I'd focus on getting a somewhat decent used body (400D or 450D) and try to find a good value used lens for it. You can take pretty nice photos even with a cheap body, as long as your lens is decent. Kit lens can get you started, but it's mostly good for being a paperweight.
