Just watched that hillclimb video, FLIP I didnt realisem how potent these trucks are, they are faster than I thought

I would quite like to see one of those old school peterbilt type racing trucks, the ones with the boxy bonnets

Ja i was wrong, I know the sound very well, but I was sure it was because of the turbo itself, but you are right, it is the wastegate, but the harsh sound is only really hear on cars that have an external wastegate, thanks for the correction

Quote from BigPeBe :I think that you mean the sound what wastegate does when it opens to keep the right boost. I know, it is a nice sound. It makes even those turbo engines what have a lousy cam and big exhaust to sound really nice.
Plus on the intake side the whistle of turbo, but we already have that.

Sorry man, my bad, I thought it was the turbine exhaust note, but I am happy 2 be corrected, but ja the car sounds pretty potent for so little mods, LONG LIVE TURBO's

Quote from petercollins :Stupid idea, what's next - lawnmowers?

Who the f**k watches truck racing? Nobody.

Let's get our devlopers fixed on some worthwhile physic recreations, not these Codemaster gimmicks.

U another on of those who is so closed minded, don't be so boring, get some life in you, or would you like a game that has one car, one track, one throttle position e.t.c

Braking by the bridge on blackwood, ha ha ha, that is classic, I can just imagine that, but I think driving them would be a blast, all that torque and power, it would make for some awsome power slides

Ja this sounds like a pretty nice idea, another great sound would be that sort of blasting turbine exhaust sound that turbocharged cars give when they come into boost, one of the most amazing sounds ever

Quote from Stiggie :God these stupid idea's make me sick. It's so obvious that lots of you really don't know how much time it takes to create a car in LFS.
It's just a team of 3.. so i think if they would make a new car, it would be something sensefull (like the scirocco ) instead of all them ideas of ''3 wheelers, dragsters, all the drift cars'' and so on.. even though i like drifting. And those were only a few examples, which have been asked for so many times.

Flip bro what's your issue, if you dont like the suggestions keep your stupid comments to yourself and stay off of the forum, no body forced you to read the posts

glad 2 see that I am not the only one who thinks it might work, and ja a road going version and a race version would be gr8. Mabe the truck could be something along the lines of a Peter Built, those trucks are the top performers as far as i know( the one with the nice boxy nose)

I was just thinking, wouldn't it be nice if there were one of those 1000hp racing trucks in LFS.
It would be a nice change a nd a nice challenge.
What are your ideas?

+ x 12837924391471451567 to the power of 181897112, I would LOVE to see a rotary engined car on this game, I suggested it earlier, glad to see someone agrees

Yip, I fully agree.
The 8 - lane drag strip is fun for large numbers of players or just for something different. Concrete barriers would be great and also automatic loss for crossing the center line of the drag strip itself, not the shut down area. I know this stuff may have been mentioned earlier but mabe if we try hard enough the devs might make these minor changes .
Ultimatley in the future it would be nice to have it designed so that one has to perform a burnout and then stage

yes reaction times would be nice, aswell as the speeds and 60ft times

This is just a suggestion slash request to the dev's. Is the any chance that you could create a small patch that will supply Reaction times, 60ft times and Quater mile speeds, please?
P.s. Wat do u racers think of this?(and please dont shoot it down the first second, think it through, its pretty simple to do as far as I know)

Man I TOTALLY agree and like the idea of staging and burnouts, I think its a great idea. It will just add further to the realism of drag racing. I am glad to see that others are feeling the same as I do

Im glad 2 see that Kosmo has some time for the Wankel Rotary. Sure it has its downfalls, but so do all other engines. Its just that there is something special about a rotary, and I belive that anyone who sees one in full race spec, and tuned to perfection will appreciate that.

The other thing is that in the game you dont need to worry about poor fuel economy etc, and engine blocks warping, because if that was the case, we would all have cars blowing up down some of the long straights on the game.
Yes I know realism is important and it makes the game such a great one, but nobody is going to waste their time trying to simulate a warping engine block

Ja, if we want to be very pickey and choosey about what field a rotary would be good in, one of them is drag racing. If a rotary is well tuned and has a big fat turbo( which they can handle far better than piston engines because of their better exhaust flow capabillities ) it is a formidable opponent, able to beat the likes of a 5.7L V8 running on METHANOL

Dude, what do you mean about 6G in the turns, nobody even mentioned g-forces on this page . And this post is just about possible vehicle that would be nice for the game, it is opinion based so dont get all errotated, because if nobody stated their opinions the game may miss a vehicle that might have been put in if some1 mentioned it

Sho, I dont know wat the rebuild intervals were, but I assume it was after every race. Well Ive talked to guys that have racew rotary powered cars, and they said the torque curve is pretty much constant, it just keeps on accelerating. An ja obviously if it is limited to such low rpms, then it wont make so much. What I would like to see if a turbocharged rotary on the game. A turboed rotary, really kicks the competition

With regards to the 5 bar reading yes it was for qualifying, but they still boosted around 4 bar in race conditions. Those engines were just FREAKIN strong, once again, lots of time and money invested in it. And about the F3 rotary car getting vialated, im not so sure. Those Formula cars weigh nothing and a rotary engine weighs nothing, yes there isnt a huge amount of torque but the torque curve is constant, it doesnt stop pulling, were as reciprocating engines tend to run out of steam, not all, but generally speaking.

Sorry, I did mean R26B, dont kno why I said 24, ha ha. And with those scarilly powerful F1 of the 80's, u need to also look at the pressure they were boosting at, 5 bar on flash readings, thats stupidly high, and with the rotarys, as someone said earlier, there isnt nearly as much time or money spent on perfecting them, mazda was really the only one. In F1 you have many different manufacturers fighting to be top dog

Rotarys suck , what u mean. Lets take the 1991 LeMans winner the Mazda 787b, powered by the pinnacle of all rotaries, the Mighty R24B 4 rotor rotary engine. A 2.6L engine that was naturally aspirated and kicked out 700Hp!, how can u say they suck, they are unique, sound great and when tuned propperly, will destroy nearly anything that get in their way
