Why does your friend specifically need S1 H?

IIRC, S1 H is the last version before the new unlocking stuff was added, to stop the use of the unlocker floating about?

Quote from XCNuse :poly of course.. wanted to do it by splines, but .. i gave up that idea lol, so i did it like i normally do

I think i prefer boxmodeling so far, but i havent done enough of my own modeling to make my mind up yet, and i still suck with all of them anyways.

Quote from XCNuse :the wheels.. they look big,, but they really arent lol i think its just that the wheel itself is large and the tire is small..

Tyre is too thin, but the rim itself is also way too large imo, too much space there..

Quote from XCNuse :dunno, but ya i forgot, i have to do the brakes and whatnot too

Good tutorial for disk brakes is this one, i've used it and its a real quick/easy method.

Wheels are a huge, make them smaller. Apart from that, its looking decent (better then my attempts at modeling a car so far ).

What modeling technique did you use for this, box modeling, or poly modeling?

If you want some help from some other car modelers, you should join http://www.cg-cars.com/forum/forum.php? and http://www.smcars.net/

Quote from Cue-Ball :I was thinking the same thing. Personally, I would be opposed to buying anything of this nature unless the majority of the proceeds were going to the development team.

I agree, and i will not be buying any LFS stuff until the devs decide to open their own online store.

Then i know the people who really deserve the money will be getting it, and im not lining the pockets of someone looking to get rich quick, by using LFS.

So out of interest, what percentage of the LFS merchandise sales will the devs get?

You're using their logo and their reputation to sell your products, so they deserve something out of it imo.

Other companys wouldnt allow you to use their logo to sell products, and make money without asking for a cut of the profits, dont see why they shouldnt do the same.

Quote from mattlikespeoples :
and to fonnybone-HURRY UP ON THAT S2 ALPHA LFSTweak!!!!!!!!!

I know you was only joking (hence the smilie), but Fonnybone makes LFSTweak by himself, its just as much work as the devs have to cope with imo, so he should also take his time.

Quote from Nighty :I use a Playstation style joypad because disability prevents me from using a wheel & pedals, so I'll be off then shall I.

I use a PS2 pad now aswell, because the the pedals for the wheel i bought, no longer work.

Until someone makes a decent wheel/pedal set, for less then £100, that doesnt break, then i wont be buying another wheel. And no, im not willing to buy a frex/other high end system, as their price's take the p!ss.

[sarcasm]You should remove me from the game i've played for three years, just because i cannot use my wheel anymore because he pedals are crap and no longer work. [/sarcasm]

Top one.

Atm, its mostly tarmac racers we've got. I want (read - Would like) more offroad style cars, as thats what i prefer to do in LFS.

Buggys, Baja trucks, monster trucks, hillclimb trucks ect ect..

We have all heared rumors of this "rally pack" coming after S2, but, thats all it is ATM, a rumor.. What this will contain, no one knows, but im hoping its not just an addon to the rallycross section..

Quote from Hummer :yeah, and I don't want to see racers without their helmets anymore!

Yep, full race equipment will also be required.

That means, flame proof suit, flame proof gloves and shoes, and flame proof underwair. Race spec helmet, aswell as a neck brace.

If you dont have these, tough, you're not allowed to race, because its not realistic.

I think a motion simulator should be required to play LFS. If you dont have a motion simulator, you shouldnt be allowed to play LFS.

This is an auto racing simulation after all and someone should program LFS to not allow the user to race without a motion simulator. *flame suit on*

Quote from wheel4hummer :The .vob isnt the model, .cmx is i think. And, I used notepad, but I got a bunch of those boxes and random characters.

.cmx is for the cmx viewer only, LFS uses a different format. If its any of those file's, it'll be the .vob files in the VEH(icles) folder.

Saying that though, they might not be in any of those files at all.

Wheres the fun in going in a straight line? Each to their own i guess..

Now, going in a straight line, while jumping over multiple 10/20 foot jumps, that sounds like real fun, to me!
