Probably not what you were looking for, but I managed to kill some time with it.

Quote from SamH :Create a containing div, then two divs within. Replace BB with HTML..

[div]
[div style="float:left;width:49%"]Left text here[/div]
[div style="float:right;width:49%"]Right text here[/div]
[/div]

That'll provide a 2-column layout. I presume that's what you're looking for.

Don't forget the [div style="clear:both;"]One column[/div] again, otherwise the text after the columns will end up in the columns.

I don't know if it helps you, but SQLite Browser allows you to browse SQLite DBs and run queries on them.

Quote :I came onto the project mid-way through development, the engine was already working well and habitat, the level editor. was a tad unstable.

Something minor, but I guess it should be fixed too.

Well, and your HTML could be a bit better: http://validator.w3.org/check? ... t.50webs.net%2Findex.html

I'd choose Perl over Java just because of personal preference. Sounds like your program is supposed to do quite basic stuff, so any language should be fine for it.
Java's OO might be a bit of a bloat, but that could be me simply disliking OO.
For simple programming, not caring about private methods etc you're better off with Perl.

Have you looked in your hosts file already? Maybe it has some extra entries you don't want.
Also, if you have the ask toolbar installed, get HijackThis and kick it out. It's malware.

Quote from dawesdust_12 :You say it's completely legal, but in some places... reverse engineering (which is how cracks operate) isn't legal.

In Germany it is even illegal to circumvent copy protection mechanisms in any way. Which is kinda BS, because my laptop's optical drive is broken, so for any CD/DVD based game I need to create an image on my second PC, copy it over via LAN, and - if neccessary - crack it just to be able to play the game. Which I paid for.

Quote from dawesdust_12 :Yeah, except Microsoft would rather steal a whole 3 day's pay from you for their operating system.

It's great that I can upgrade MY OS by simply mowing a lawn or 2.

(and it's 10$ if you buy a Mac from Monday onwards to upgrade)

And I will get any Windows version between 2000 and 7 (including the server ones) completely for free, and completely legal.
You can't tell me Microsoft is all about money if they give out free Software.

Quote from mclarenmatt :You shouldn't have any problems, most people who bash Vista just jumped on the "Vista is crap bandwagon" when it first came out. That was only due to driver's being rubbish and nothing to do with Vista itself.

A bit like like saying "damn my bike for not oiling its own chain"

Vista is the ME of the NT based series, Seven is the Windows Vista was meant to be. If you're not going to play DirectX 10 games, I probably would wait for that to come out.
I'll stick to my XP however, I see no reason to kill my perfectly fine working system just to install a different OS.

I find it way more funny how Dustin still says a Mac beats a PC, even if they are more or less the same since Apple switched from the PowerPC-CPU (which was quite a nice one I have to admit) to Intel CPUs and think his OSX is so great even if it is just an expensive BSD distribution.
Well, a Mac is expensive, so it just has to be awesome, right?

Quote from Migz :Oh my haha.
I think everybody who has an old system and still manages to make it work relatively well should acctually get an award for it!

It's not that hard if you don't install tons of crap over the time.

Quote from dawesdust_12 :PC users are just too blind/stupid/retarded to realize that OSX is better.

With OSX you pay for something that's basically free and just a bit more colorful. Who's stupid now?
Quote from dawesdust_12 :It's a fact of life. Eventually there will be surgery to repair eyes/brain/learning disabilities, so then PC users will realize their failures, and switch to a Mac.

Your Mac nowadays is nothing but an overpriced PC, and I can run a free Linux distribution on a cheap PC, which will cost me a lot less. I can't see why you defeat a heap of expensive junk so much, and even going so far to insult everyone who wasn't smart enough not to buy that kind of fashion accessory.

To solve your problem:
start "" "C:\Program Files\bla"

start.exe expects a window title between the quotation marks, so give it a dummy one.

ATHome and me are going, somewhere around the noon of Thursday. Me being a Ring noob, I probably can't tell you much other than generic advice.
Bring boots, be nice to your neighbours and some kind of FM receiver wouldn't be bad too (or DVBT).
I'll be lurking here for some pro-advice too.

The inertia from accelerating too much can't make you go a tiny bit faster than the speed limit, and that'll earn you the penalty.
Lesson: Don't slam the gas.

Drivers who can't win should be shut out? Sure, why not, let's have a 1v1 of Hamilton and Massa for all the season, nobody cares about the rest anyway.

Quote :I think this year's championship will be close and exciting

Or not. Win more than half of the races from the start and do you don't even need to bother showing up anymore.

Crashing your car into a tree in one of the USA stages, spinning back on track and rolling over the finish line with a dead engine because the rest of the stage is downhill - now that's worth getting hit for. Which actually happened, the other players of the hot seat rally were not happy about my luck.

Lynx is the only real browser.

I have 6 reasons to use Firefox:
- FoxyProxy
- AdBlock
- GreaseMonkey
- WebDeveloper Toolbar
- NoScript
- DTA
Chrome sounds fishy to me, especially with their EULA fauxpas back then, I didn't try it.
IE, well, I ditched that due to major security holes and lack of features back then, and can't be bothered to install it.
Opera, never really liked it, so not trying that either.
Any browser would only have a chance for me if it supported the features I mentioned above, built-in or as addon, doesn't matter.
