Serverside ads could be a real possibility. Instead of uploading them to LFS World, how about from the server itself? A person running a dedi would put their ads into an "Ads" folder, and connecting clients would download them directly from it. It could cause lag on servers with relatively low bandwith, but maybe the server operator could have an option on the max speed ad pictures are downloaded.

The 6150 has to go. Do you have an AGP or PCI-E slot?
The Flat Earth Society

Bit of a rant, but the Flat Earth Society imo are some of the craziest people i've ever seen, just short of the Phelps family. There's no debating with them on their forums, because all you will get back from them is "Read the FAQ", "The Earth is flat", or "Another victory for FE". The thing that really scares the shit out of me is that they are dead serious about this.

If you want to attempt to debate with them, be my guest. I guarantee you even Tristan will come back with his IQ down the drain.

$4000 will get you the absolute best. Do you actually want to spend it all? Also, putting a computer together is not very hard, and gets much easier after your first time. Look on Youtube or Google for videos or guides on how to put a PC together.

For cars entering pit road under yellow, I'd suggest keeping the cars going in at safety car speed, and no overtaking going into pit road, or out of. The position you cross the line in will be the position you stay in when you reach the safety car. (Speeding up to reach the safety car from leaving pit road would be feasible, as not to cause incident from the safety car slowing in front of the cars that didn't pit.)

When the safety car was announced, not a single car slowed down a bit. I'm still waiting for a replay to look into, but until then I want to know from others why my car was spun and demolished. Other than that, great racing guys!

Quote from hanzime :I tought you guys are running on a server of 500 servers?? Did you know that you can ask for a max of client slots (47) for a single event? Without paying more. We have 24/7, (23slots) 2 servers online from 500 servers. And they have told us that was possible if we needed that for 1 single event.

Cu on track
Hanziboy

You can have 47 people in a server, but only 32 cars racing at one time. Count in the safety car and its 31.

Quote from Stang70Fastback :I was thinking of doing that, but I'm really, really scared of messing it up. Is it really even possible to do this wrong? I'm assuming the heat-spreader is thick enough that you can't sand THROUGH it, lol.

I'm more concerned about it being uneven when it's done.

It's not really hard if you set up your "workstation" right. Do what I did- tape the sandpaper to a flat, sturdy surface. I used double sided tape, about a millimeter thick, so I had to line about 5 pieces of tape up to lay each piece of sandpaper on. A piece of glass will also work as a base for keeping sandpaper flat. If you have any old CPU's laying around, practice on them first. Also, you can find the grades of sandpaper needed in an automotive store or the automotive section of a place like Wal-Mart.
CPU Lapping

So I had a go at lapping my CPU. (For those that don't know, lapping is sanding and smoothing the heat spreader on a CPU.)

Materials used-
Alcohol
Sandpapers- 400, 800, 1000, and 2000 grit
Double sided tape
Cotton swabs and balls.

Preparing the CPU for lapping-

Nickel plating starting to wear off and show the copper (It's blurry, so you will have to look hard, sorry)

Copper completely exposed (Blurry yet again)

Finished job after polishing with 2000 grit

Brought my idle and load temps down about 6 degrees. I didn't bother lapping the heatsink because it's a pile of junk anyway.
