And they need to try making consistent comepetieve laps on ovals other than talladega or daytona before they come in posting s*** ignorant comments (im not saying you are, im just referencing other people, wont say any names)
I am not sure if this is in the correct section, but this thread will be dedicated to Garry's Mod screenshots. Here are some of mine from a Spacebuild server The first three are a friend's space station built on asteroids, and the last one is a picture of the spaceship that I built, energy, life support systems and such. Post away guys!
This is really starting to get rediculous. Tristian, stop trolling around this thread and do some real research before you make another post about how NASCAR drivers are pansies. Fire up a game like NR2003, and try a few tracks with no assists, you will see how "easy" it is to get around one of those tracks, especially in heavy traffic.
NASCAR could devise a way to put lights on the cars without effecting aerodynamics, I saw an IROC race at the Daytona road course where the cars had lights blended into the aero since the race was scheduled at night time. Yet, the visibilty would still be little to zero in even moderate rain in traffic due to the mist from the high speeds.
I did manage to make out some of that wall of text, your problem is sliding into corners? Try braking earlier, brake hard at first and as you slow down, ease off the brakes to prevent wheel lockup into the corner (if you are using a car with downforce) and take it easy through the corner. Don't accelarate too hard too early with RWD and even FWD and AWD cars, it can easily cause you to slide or spin out.
Have you ever considered the actual physics of an F1 car and a stock car of any kind? I believe one reason that F1 rain tyres can clear water so well is because of the immense downforce. NASCAR race cars have FAR less downforce than an F1 car does, even at the 140-210 mph speeds that the stock cars run, especially with the new car. If a NASCAR stock car or even the COT had anything near the range of F1 physics, you wouldn't see the car's tires lifting off the ground in the Watkins Glen or Infineon road races.
Was that 5 mile long mega-oval in GT2? The one in GT4 basically has a long line of dips in the turns if you try to run anywhere near the top paint line, making any car almost impossible to control.
The reason why the FO8 and FOX do not have TC is because their real life counterparts don't (ChampCar and Formula Renualt). Also, the FIA is requiring the removal of traction control from all F1 cars in the 2008 season.
I PM'ed Frenchy because I couldn't find this page, Is it possible for me to join the team? I haven't recieved a reply from any of the team since i talked to Frenchy.
