Rule number one: Anticipate your driving!
Try to keep your eyes far enough and analyze the traffic all the time. If you see a light going red or brake lights lid 10 seconds ahead of you, start coasting, and try to aim for the maximum possible speed when you can start accelerating again.

Accelerate at least on half throttle, and jump gears if possible. Revving on 3rd to cruise speed and then changing to 5th is more efficient than going 3 -> 4 -> 5.

On highway or A-road lift a bit on downhills and gather more speed BEFORE an uphill, so you don't have to give more gas at the hill (=more load, bigger consumpion).

Don't know about the momo, but DPF revision number can be found from the plastic bag that contains the driver CD, just like in G25.

I totally agree. It would look nice if it read Fiat on the hood, but a Ferrari....

Of all my 127 races in CTRA I've caused 2 accidents (tailgating under braking) that would meet the definition of wrecking, and been a victim once (well, twice but it was the same driver in the same race). At least my experience doesn't equal the ARSE article...

The general additude on the low level servers isn't as good as it could be, but that's something the system can't improve, only way to improve the general additude is to make those reports!

And bottomline - I think that CTRA has done good job in introducing racing etiquette for the masses. Clean Racers Club did it for me in 2005 (thanks stoney&co!), but CTRA touches thousands of casual gamers.

Well, it's not my business what you suggest, but in my opinion you could aswell suggest an option to remove the side mirrors because they make it harder to drive near the hatch in your macdonalds drive-in addon you're about to write.

At first I tried it in late 2003, but really started playing the demo when I bought my first wheel in April 2005.

I seriously doubt that you could feel even more if you toned the ffb level down to 20-30%.

Depends on your video card, but generally right click on desktop -> properties -> settings tab -> advanced

Umm, no. Like Mike said, all setups are gone after an incopatible patch. At the moment I have setups for pretty much TBO+LRF only.

By learning a combo I meant finding the braking points and the general flow, not which way does the next corner turn. Of all possible combos in LFS I could competitively race from the start line at maybe 5-10% of them.

People who join midrace are not up to pace, have cold tires and have no effect on the outcome. They should not be allowed to even join IMHO.

But on the other hand, If I'm going to play LFS for 45 minutes before I go to sleep, it's a good thing that I can join mid-race, find my pace and setup and finish the race, so I don't need to fist wait for the race to end, start the next one at the back of the grid and spend the time learning the combo and taking notes where my setup ain't bad.
