Sorry to say Niki, I was not planning to reply here, but I hope you will read your own post so that you can realize how sick it sounds, I mean it is so bad that you should probably consider some kind of therapy. The first rule for a leader is to show example and you fail miserably at it... I mean you are unmanageable as a team driver and even worse as a leader!

And you're demagogy goes up a level when you start talking about yourself in the third person...
Quote : Elsa Ronningstam, associate clinical professor of psychology at Harvard Medical School and author of Identifying and Understanding the Narcissistic Personality: Referring to yourself in the third person creates distance between "I" and "he." So if you have an exaggerated view of how great you are, you could be using this distance to make yourself even bigger. Or, if you've achieved major success suddenly, using the third person could be a way to adjust to the bigger role that's been assigned to you. It's a way to enlarge yourself to fit that role.

I have always respected you, but believe me, it is becoming harder every day!

A Little reminder for the participants of our GenR FBMC 2013: Should you be interested to drive round 2 of the championship on KY32r, you are still able to set a lap time within 107% of the fastest driver's lap time, until today, 19:00 UTC!

LOL, nice open poll, I guess now NDR has a list of drivers to watch for that penalty!

...seriously, replace the pole with something harder so that no one will go through it.

On Wednesday, 23rd January, the GenR FBM Championship 2013 season kicked off on Blackwood GP. The drivers had to master 57 laps for the race making it a bit harder to balance speed versus tyre saving. Pole position went to Joonas Koskinen with a 1:12.110. Valtteri Pitkänen made it an all Vortex eSports front row. After the start, it emerged to be a two way battle between the pole sitter and James Peace. The battle intensified with three laps to go when both collided losing valuable time and causing troubles for Koskinen who suffered a left rear puncture a few corners later. With a damaged front left suspension, Peace came under pressure in the last lap from Sascha Riegler and Vadim Nikiforov. On the entry to the corner after the long backstraight, Peace touched Riegler's right rear tyre pushing the latter into the gravel and giving Vadim Nikiforov the chance to grab first position. With two corners to go, Peace suffered a left rear puncture as well. Overall this meant Nikiforov for AirAttack #1 won the season start infront of Riegler who started from P7. Peace saved P3 after chaotic last laps for him. Out of 16 starting drivers, 15 saw the chequered flag - sadly Plamen Gospodinov from BurnoutCrew suffered a connection failure.

Some team leaders sent me PM’s to ask me what I was planning to do about our servers, so I’ll answer everyone here. I didn’t want to rush moving GenR’s servers and I had a good look around for another hosting solution, after what happened the last two years with our previous host, the price wasn’t the most important for us. Outside the technical requirements, we wanted a reliable host, someone with enough experience, dedicated to LFS with good expertise about lfs servers and airio… Well, the result is that Qserverhosting checked all the boxes, even the one for the price. So we have decided to down size a bit (from 15 to 13 servers) and last night we have moved the 6 [AA] demo servers and 7 GenR S2 servers to our new host, we’ll remain there for the coming year and we hope for many more. I think before the weekend everything should be back to normal!

I want to thank Dave (cargame.nl) for all the help he has provided us during this difficult period, running our demo and league servers (free of charge) during those times has been a great help and gave us the necessary time to take the right decision… and of course the creation of this new hosting solution is a great bonus. very much appreciated mate, I hope to be able to return the favour some day!

I guess the question is not why we play it, but why we ''still'' play it (after so long)?

Well for me there is one main reason why I haven’t moved to another sim yet, that’s because after almost 20 years of hardcore gaming I think I have found a virtual family in lfs and didn’t expect the feeling to be so strong and to take so long!

Awesome race, great job Inex! ...Sadly no one seems to be able to challenge you, but we'll keep coming back or die trying!

Compliments to Vires for their best performance in a long time, you were consistent and just a bit too strong for us yesterday, well deserved second place!

I wish all our races could be as competitive and fair!

Bad luck for our second car though...

Quote from vipex123 :Was it in the rules you must come to the Pre-qual thread and read it through to the full extent?

No, but if you have a tiny bit of experience you should know that you have to read everything posted by the race director, why do you think he spend time writing it, just so that it looks good in the topic?...cmon James!

And what is it with this habit to attempt to manipulate racing organisers to change their decisions?

It is not my place to discuss the penalty, but your biggest mistake was to not read the prequali topic or you would have known the consequences for doing so. I do feel bad for you and I wish Deko had another way to handle this, but he chose to give a hard penalty to make sure no one would do it and that only works when ppls read the instructions, Any way it is not the first time in racing that a team got disqualified for misreading or not reading the rules/briefings/instructions, that sucks, but that’s why you got the penalty at the first place….last time I was in 4H of SPA classic the team next to us got disqualified because the guy holding the fire extinguisher was like 60 cm next to the place specified in the briefing, very unfair for ppls who spent lots of money and months preparing, but when I chatted with them after the race, they had only one conclusion: Read the fu..ing manual FFS!

The only thing that can be done do avoid something like this happens again is to place a long wall on pit entry, just because common sense isn’t enough in sim racing!

I did not want to take part in this discussion, but I feel the problem is quite simple here… I have a lot of respect for you Tommy and I’d love to see TRR come back to serious racing, but you need to put yourself in an admin shoes here. Every time Deko takes a decision a tiny bit outside the rules, many ppls are there to contest and complain that he doesn’t respect his own rules (rightfully). I mean it is common sense not to exit the pit from the pit entry, but could have been forgiven if he had not mentioned it on the forum prior to the prequal, so if you ask me, he has no choice but to apply the rules or lose the driver’s respect for failing at enforcing them.

You may race for fun, but you know that sim racers do take their leagues very seriously…

What’s really sad is to see how many drivers thought it could be done!

Well I think it depends a lot from where you grow up… I mean if you were born in Europe you understand that endurance cannot be punctuated by safety cars or you can’t call it endurance any more, still we do use it in Europe, but only when someone’s life is in danger (which is not the problem in lfs)…wave around is even more pointless and unfair in my opinion, it is like the impossible second chance. Now if you grow up in America you probably have a completely different racing culture, you want safety cars and wave around regularly to keep it exiting for the spectators, mainly because they race a lot on oval and it would be boring without. But personally I think it is more like racing PR/marketing than endurance racing, and many time I feel like we race to keep the livestream exiting (but that’s because of my racing culture ).

So my two cents is that we should make a difference as to what is endurance and what’s not for the majority of the participants…I mean if you don’t call GT1WS an endurance league, then safety cars and wave around are perfectly fine! …but then 24H is a very long succession of sprints, got to like Russian roulette

One big problem with wave around is that it takes too long and tires cool off too much for a save restart, hence why we have so many crashes on those….
