Tonight's Dailycious event will be on KY2 with the LX4! (open series, no registration needed)

On the side, every year we like to organise a summer event, this year I'd like to it on GEN PRO with the sim club members ( http://www.ready2rollteam.com/ ... wtopic.php?f=67&t=674 ).

Personally I would like a little endurance race, but nothing has been decided yet, so if you have suggestions you're welcome to do so here.

THX and good luck tonight!

It is a competitive world our there and sadly it is rarely the one who has the idea who profit from it....

I think as community members we should always be grateful to the ppls willing to organize and create things for us, so thx for the hard work guys!

That said I do agree with Birder, an lfs community site should not have any kind of commercial system, of course donations are always welcome, but should not be required...

Quote from AMB :Aha well your right, I do still love you, we all do, and yes 90% of people on the internet don't act like they do in real life, including me, some people let their anger out etc, usually it's like everyone has a second personality and that's the bad personality and it gets let out on the internet, forums, games, etc

Sorry if I have to disagree here, that ''second'' personality is the part ppls are too ''shy'' to show in real life, so it should not be dissociated from the ''first'', sadly it comes more out on the net because ppls feel no physical danger. On competitive games like LFS, ppls tend to show the worse and the best of what they are, I have met quite a few ppls from lfs community and they all were exactly like I've expected them to be...nothing more, nothing less... So I would say characters shown on LFS are quite real!

Quote from GAVD999 :doesn't the "overall effects strength" need to be set above 100% to 101% - 105%, not sure if this is still the case. If it isn't then someone needs to edit the wiki

The new driver for the G25 is linear at 100% now, it was the first driver which had this problem...

As for the G27 with actual driver, after lots of testing, linearity is achieved at 105% and make sure to remove dead zone in LFS/option/controller/axis....and avoid using wheel turn compensation...

Always download last driver version on Logitech site, the one on CD is always older...

Grats for the new wheel!

Momo takes care of posting them on your site and we're all very busy atm, we'll do our best, sorry if there are some delays...

Quote from joshdifabio :I don't see why anyone would do that. If you DNF then the result still counts towards your stats and appears in your results as a low finishing position. DNF's aren't treated any differently to race finishes.

THX for the fast answer!

My excuses for the stupid question, I must say that I am not much aware of how your database works, I thought you were using lfs functions which only counts the races if finished, does that means that your system analyse the replay and count the race if you start?

I noticed a perverse effect of having a leagues in the database, some drivers who are really focussed on their stats tend to retire when not on the podium, so I would like to suggest to add a DNF count to the stats.
Of course I have not idea if it is possible, but I thought this had to be mentioned here...

BTW I have added your website in an Iframe to our Dailycious topic, I hope this is not a problem? http://www.ready2rollteam.com/ ... wtopic.php?f=44&t=675

I hate to change again, but due to collision with some leagues we and other members of the community are doing on Tuesday’s, and because we like to allow everyone to participate in GEN Racing events, we have decided to move the Demo events to Sunday’s and Gen Racing will be on Mondays.

First post and calendars have been updated accordingly...

I've noticed a question which comes back at every races, why are the races showed in LFS as 20H or 40H?
This has to do with our Airio automatic racing system, races are set for 20min+1lap or 40min+1lap, but since LFS don't recognize it, it shows race time in hours.
Also take in to consideration that if the leader crosses the line a few second before minute 40, everyone will do an other two laps...We've seen in previous dailycious parts that some races can take up to 45min depending on race length and when the leader crosses the line.

I think it was on AS4R, Troy and I were fighting for first place, but my fuel was calculated with a race pace just 0.1 slower than what Troy managed to do which forced me to pit for 1 lap fuel when I realized he was crossing the line just before minute 40 which added a lap to what I was expecting...
So remember this and make sure you have an extra lap of fuel...

& Genuine Racing

Genuine Racing is a sim racing adventure which started with the creation of Framaris Racing in 2007 which was renamed Ready2Roll in 2009 after a failed merger with Redline Racing. In 2010 we've created GenR to allow 3 teams (Eteam, R4R and AA) to join us in one big organisation where we shared the same values, philosophies and resources.

Over the years as our drivers improved, our interest for more serious racing grew and league racing became the logical step forward. We started with the VR/CL 24h of SO4R where we placed two of our cars on the podium (first and third). The hunger for more brought us to the GTAL which was followed by our participation in every serious league and series LFS had to offer in the last 4 years. during the development of GenR, AA maintained high standard of racing and their servers were and are still very successful. The great friendship between the members was transformed into a racing family which grew considerably and soon we had more than 90 drivers representing most racing aspects in LFS (demo, S2, casual and professional racers) with 15 servers.

We started organising series with running public servers (R2R TBO, R2R GT2) where we hosted the Dailycious Series, a semi-public weekly championship which mostly had multiple seasons each year. During that time we also participated in the organisation of the LFS Endurance Series. With the main focus of the team slowly shifting to professionally organised league racing, GenR organised its first league with the GT1 Challenge which started in February 2012. The GT Masters series later that year would benefit from the things we had learned previously. The race weekends were more organised and the whole league had a more professional atmosphere about it. A trend was set and we went on with organising the FBM Championship, the Turbo Trophy, the GTi Trophy and a joined venture with Heroes of Racing for the New Endurance Challenge.

Sadly due to the lack of development in LFS the community changed and many moved on to new simulators, teams became more and more inactive. Of course we never really suffered of inactivity with so many drivers, but the whole concept of GenR started to make less sense, so at the start of 2014 we decided it was time to make a radical change. We are very proud of what we have achieved with GenR over the years and we want to allow it to continue for many more years as a multiplatform team. So the cooperation concept was abandoned along with the R2R and R4R names and AA moved back to their original forum with regained motivation and objectives for demo racing. All the remaining drivers joined the GenR team to prepare the transition to a new simulator and the downsizing of our LFS operations. This restructuring of GenR as a team with a smaller group of people will allow us to set new objectives and prepare the team for the future.

The adventure continues.....

Tonight we open & R2R Gen Racing with GTL (UFR+XFR) on AS2R!

Some final adjustments have been made before it started, sorry for those last minutes changes, not touching anything any more.

& R2R Gen Racing will have only one track per week like other servers and will do 2 races of 20min +1lap (No pit), three reasons to this, one it was quite a lot to train 3 tracks, two to keep it simple for everyone we want to have only two racing format (1x40min+1lap+pit and 2x20min+1lap), three I have been planing this during everyone was hibernating and some part where not realizable without involving more programming for my friend EQ who is already very busy taking care of you guys with Airio.

Since we have new Stats it would have been contra productive to use the safety index at this time, so no safety handicaps will be imposed for now.

Good luck!

Edit: first post has been edited accordingly, program too....

Just a little note to say that I wasn't fully aware for the quali replay when Momo added Dailycious to your database, I can insure you that it was not by negligence, so we will add autosave to the automatic racing config today to make sure this doesn't happen again.

Sorry for the trouble and THX for making/managing this database!
