It's actually not a very fun game, IMO. It's free on Steam if you want to check it out.

It's not that multi-core CPU's aren't good for games. If a program is not written to take advantage of a particular number of CPUs/cores, then you'll see no benefit from having more. With older CPU's, you often paid for those extra cores with a reduced clock speed in order to deal with the increased thermal load. Thus, given equivalently priced pair of CPU's, the one that is clocked higher but with fewer cores often performed better in games that did not take advantage of the extra cores (i.e. most games for quite some time). This is often what led people to conclude that multi-core CPU's were not worth it for gaming. Nowadays, with Intel's latest CPU's, the clockspeed actually varies slightly based upon how many cores you're using. More games are also being written to take advantage of the extra cores.

Quote from Specht77 :I expected two graphics totally different, I always heard that turbo add lots of torque, and it appears to be true, for example:

Chevrolet Cruze 1.8 16v has 144hp and 18,9kgfm of torque...

Mercedes C180 1.6 16v Turbo has 156hp and 23,5kgfm of torque...

as you can see, even with lower displacement, and just 12hp more, it has much more torque

And at what RPM are those peak values?

It could very well be the turbo version operates at lower RPM's, which would explain the higher torque value. For a given HP value, the torque will increase as RPM decreases. This makes torque alone essentially meaningless when comparing engines that operate in different RPM ranges. Tractive force is a much more effective tool for comparison, because it takes into account the gear reduction necessary to reach a particular speed, in addition to torque. High RPM's require high gear reduction, which means more torque multiplication.

LSI 9260-4i RAID controller (SAS/SATA)

Total overkill for what I need (2 disk RAID1), but I wanted a nice hardware RAID card. I wasn't happy with the on-board driver-based RAID from the Intel ICH10R, and this was pretty much the cheapest proper card I could find.

When you're 17-18 years old and multiple adults whom you respect, including your own engineer father, are telling you you're pretty much guaranteed a good job when you get out of a fancy engineering school, it's easy to just take their word for it.

Funny that none of you have even completed uni, let alone with 10's of thousands of dollars of student loan debt.

I know someone with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from a 2nd-tier US engineering-focused university. They were led to believe the massive loans they took out would not be a problem because they'd get a decent-paying job right out of school. Everyone needs engineers, right? It turned out they were quite surprised when there was basically nothing for them and they struggled really badly to find a job. They found one, but it doesn't pay nearly as much as they were led to believe it would going into school, and now they are saddled with a massive amount of debt.

I've done motherboard swaps numerous times without reinstalling. Just make sure you have the NIC driver for the new motherboard handy, maybe the chipset drivers too. You can just download all the other drivers.

There's not really any need to uninstall the old drivers. Windows will just ignore them if the hardware isn't there.

The one thing that can make a motherboard swap challenging is if you have a RAID that uses the motherboard's chipset. I think even using the same chipset model (e.g. ICH10R) on a different board can break the RAID.

Freedom of speech doesn't exist on this forum, or pretty much any online forum for that matter.

Quote from -NightFly- :Yeah, but there also just might be a stupid person like that out there actually.

Much of what this user has been posting amounts to "u mad?" which is blatant trolling.
PROTIP: Ignore trolls who call other people trolls and say "son" and "peace" a lot

Nice.

My dad had (and has again now) an '81 Kawasaki GPz550, the sporty version of the KZ550. It's in much worse shape than your 900, though.

Most of my sets had pretty reasonable damper rates, with rebound ~100% in VHPA and compression varying around 40-80% depending upon my needs.

CoRe's XR2 set for the MoE 24HR race at AS5 back in 2008 wasn't entirely made by me but most of the final touches were mine. I believe we were able to go farther than anyone else per stint through a combination of a good setup that was soft on tires and a gentle-yet-fast driving style.

Quote from BlueFlame :It's only CCTV it's not some ultimate demon coming to get you watching you whilst you wank.

Private users use it on their own properties to protect their interests and the government does the same. You can just put random cameras where you want, there are obviously various permissions you need to attain before doing so.

I really don't know what fascinates people from the USA about CCTV and it's weird that you all seem to think that it's only the UK that has a great number of CCTV setups.

Quote from Nadeo4441 :Oval racing - bores the drivers so much that they start thinking about 2D/3D grass.

Hey, look at that grass, it's looking a little flat in spots. I wonder what's for dinner tonight. Did I lock the front door on my way out? I think I'm getting a little dizzy...

It's not the factory engines that give the factories an advantage, but the electronics. The CRT bikes are actually allowed more fuel than the factory bikes, so they don't need to reduce power for the sake of fuel efficiency like the factory teams do.

---

"To be honest, it was frustrating for two days and finally on the last day, we were working with the throttle connection and we found something. In that respect, it was a good test,” said Edwards.

“In terms of the electronics I don't think we will reach the final stage of development of the electronics until the last race in Valencia: we are going to be working on them the whole time."

The season is pretty much over for the CRT's before it even starts, IMO. Edwards was able to extract some semi-decent performance from his CRT bike but he's still a long way from the front.

Honda is struggling with chatter issues but Casey doesn't seem to mind too much. He's still the fastest in all pre-season tests thus far.
