Try iRacing with somewhere around 107% in the Profiler and 10 in-game, it really sounds like you have it turned up way too high. I have tried it turned up, and pretty much all you can feel is bumps, but when it's setup properly it feels fantastic.
Yeah, it's my first time in a broadcast race so I'l probably **** up, but I won the practice race comfortably and have been getting faster since then, so I should be in with a shot.
You'll be able to spot my car a mile away, it's bright blue and red with a massive Scotland flag on the bonnet .
You should all watch the 2.4 Hours of Spa this saturday night, 10pm GMT. Going to be a good race, it has a full 40 strength field of Corvette GT1s and Radical SR8s, and I should be putting up a good fight in the SR8 class.
It's pretty normal, although I have no experience with Focus', Vauxhalls are notorious for the handbrake sticking on, and it makes the same kinda rumbling sound for the first couple of minutes and then goes away. I wouldn't worry about it, if it's had new shoes recently it's not a problem.
If you get a bit of damage on the front of the SS, it sometimes makes it blow up. Keep an eye on your water temps, if they are getting really high back off a bit.
Just a small thing, nothing really important, I was just scunnered with it being completely ignored, I seem to have got Shannon Whitmore's attention so it should get sorted.
I probably shouldn't have compared them to trained monkeys, it does just seem like I've been unlucky.
IRacing support are doing my head in, they are just completely ignoring any e-mails I send, haven't received a reply at all, and now I'm going to have to phone up, which will cost a fucking fortune, just to get them to do something that a fucking trained monkey could do.
Really good way to treat customers, fucking idiots.
No tyre model in the next build though, so it looks like I'll stick with the Truck.
To explain, iRacing TV Ep 7 is out, includes details of an LMP2 car, Interlagos, Sprint car, F-Mod sound thing and the ability to repair damage in a pit-stop.
USB is only giving it 5V so it's not running at full power, but I can't actually hear the fan spinning even if I put my ear up to it . I also opened up the vents on the back of the G25, for some reason they have went to the effort of making vents and then blocked them off so stock the G25 has 0 cooling, no wonder it gets absolutely roasting.
I had a similar problem, although not with GT5, and I fixed it by drilling a 3" hole in the top and screwing on an 80mm fan wired up to USB for power, piece of piss and means my G25 is nice and cool
I'm useless in the Trucks at Texas, my setup either has a ridiculous push or is so loose that I spin almost every lap, and no amount of tweaking I have done can change it to something in the middle. Great fun though, just not quite as fun as Michigan. I'm desperate to get a win in the Trucks, once I get 1 I should start getting more.
As far as I know, once you have 100% of content, if any more content gets released you buy it at 25% off, which isn't too bad. Pity I don't have 200 quid lying about.
Will your head fit through the door on the way out? I am fully aware who you are and how fast you are, which is why I posted a light hearted bit of sarcasm, but posting your stats just makes you look like an arrogant wank.
Setups are quite important, but most of the setups posted are brilliant, definitely nowhere near 2 seconds a lap off of the best times, maybe it's not the setup?
