Quote from BlueFlame :Exactly, so I'll trust someones opinion who has.

But the person you quoted has also driven the car, so what makes one persons opinion more important than another persons?

I'm not sure if I count as a GFC veteran having only raced for a few races, but I would be well up for racing again. The F08 and FOX combo is great.

What makes one persons opinion overrule anothers, Blueflame? Especially when you yourself don't have a ****ing clue what it's like to drive one of those cars?

Hi GF. The participation is pretty great for most series. Things like the Star Mazda, Grand-Am and Indycar get lots of participation and almost every race goes official, as does the F1 car. If you're interested in oval racing you will always be able to find a race, no problem. A couple of the series, like the V8 Supercar and the Lotus 79 aren't quite so good, but the members organise at least 2 races per week which always have big grids.

There really is no way to identify old LFS racers unless you know their name. Maybe we should think about organising a list on here so we can recognise them when we go out on track.

Car setups are fantastic, pretty much every option thats on the real cars are on there in iRacing. Setting up the Indycar and the F1 car is almost impossible because of the amount of setup options . To give you an idea, I've attached the iRacing supplied guide to setting up the F1 car.

I've moved onto iRacing completely now, only booting up LFS in the past 6 months to test the new test patch, but the serious lack of servers is a problem. LFS still feels very good, but iRacing just keeps getting better and better, and the NTM is due out in August which should improve things drastically.

Quote from BlueFlame :Yes, going by that chart. Don't you see the 4 Ferraris in the top 4? Or was that fiction? Going by the chart alone shows Ferrari engined cars being the fastest. As I say again. GOING BY THAT CHART.

You're only arguing with yourself. Twice you've said the charts mean nothing, and now you're saying they do?

Selective quoting of yourself fail.

Quote from BlueFlame :Seems like the Ferrari engine is better than Mercedes going by that chart, for whatever reason, the Ferrari engined teams can get the most out of it..

You just said that gear ratios matter much more than the engine for speed traps, then somehow formed the opinion that Ferrari have the best engine?

Racer X is more of a sheep than anyone else here. He immediately believes everything that conspiracy nuts tell him, which is worse than believing everything the media tell us.

Quote :People seem to be frightened of actually thinking that there may be different opinions to their own ( or what their told by the media to think )

You just described yourself, you instantly believe any conspiracy theory bullshit without actually considering it.

Quote :I fail to see what the issue is, I don't expect people to accept what I suggest, either disagree on rational grounds or ignore me.

Plenty of people have disagreed with you on perfectly rational grounds, but you take any slight disagreement as abuse, and fail to listen to anyone.

About that chinese news clip you posted. First of all, you really don't think the Chinese would be slightly biased against the yanks? And second, those interviews with the people who live in Abbottabad, obviously they wouldn't have seen Osama just cutting about. Do you think he would just pop down the shops? About the Fox News article, you constantly tell us not to listen to the Media, but then post a Fox News article as some kind of proof? No-one with a brain believes anything Fox News say.

Of course, this is pointless, Racer doesn't actually listen to what anybody posts.

Can you please actually post a reply to this post? I've not been abusive, I've been completely rational, so please do not just ignore it and copy paste another post like usual.

Yeah, after waiting 5 minutes for a couple of goon crew members to arrive.

I feel asleep with about 100 to go, just finally got to watch it today. Great win from Smith, and both Harvick and Busch are shite-bags. I don't like either of them really, but I just wish they both hadn't been chicken shit and had actually got out of their cars instead of being poofs.

Quote from PMD9409 :Going back to perfect conditions real quick. This past NASCAR race was at night in Darlington (perfect conditions). Kevin Harvick drove the fastest lap of the race, which was a 28.4. In iRacing, Steve Sheehan and Ray Alfalla was running 27.3's and 4s as best laps. That's a second difference even when the real life is nearly in perfect conditions.

I wouldn't say night was perfect conditions, sure the engines make a little more power, but the track temp plummets and so the car has less grip than on a sunny day.

Quote from AstroBoy :*cough* two seconds faster with iracing physics for Philip Island in a v8 supercar.

Real world time 1.33.4389 held by Craig Lowndes
Iracing time 1:31.705 Held by Luke McLean

That's because the V8 supercar is more broken than the COT car, the V8 has far too much grip when it's at a hilarious slip angle. With a realstic setup and a realistic style of driving, the V8 supercar is very close to real times and it feels great, but to be competitive you have to run ridiculous setups.

Pole lap at Darlington was a 27.2 this weekend, and in iRacing it's about a 26.7, that's not very far off at all considering we have perfect conditions, and a car which generates too much grip at higher slip angles.

The problem isn't that the COT has low grip, it's that it has far too much grip over the limit.

Quote from Boris Lozac :No one is trying to take attention away lol I'm not denying that they messed up big time, it didn't get to me that much as i use an internet credit card for PSN and i have like 2 euros on it now..
And Microsoft charging for air isn't exactly irrelevant thing

It is in a topic about Sony. If you don't like it, don't pay it.

Quote from Foilpact :Yea but its not some specialist different thing. It doesnt cost on Pc, Wii, Phones or PS3. It might not cost much but still, I shouldnt have to pay twice to use my internet, Especially when its our Xbox acting as the server most the times these days doing the job M$ should be doing...

At the end of the day its internet gaming and LIVE is a perfect working example of selling snow to eskimos...

Also is it not £50 in the shops? Its only cheap if u give M$ ur card details...

There's more chance of the cash machine being rigged than MS doing anything slightly dodgy with your details, it seems that they actually secure personal data, why has no-one else though of that?

For the record, I have a PS3, I've never owned an MS console and I don't intend to, so I'm a very long way away from a MS fanboy, but pointlessly bashing them for irrelevant things just to try and take attention away from Sonys **** up is a bit pathetic. This is a thread about Sony, why did Microsoft even get brought up?

Already given it away mate, sorry. If yours had broke last week I would have given you it .

From my experience with Logitech, I chanced it to send an e-mail to support, failing to mention that I had modified the wheel and opened it up, and they offered me 50% off a G27, which isn't bad at all.

Have you posted this on the iRacing forums? Probably a better chance of getting one there. A guy actually just posted that his G25 had packed in, maybe try giving him a wee PM. http://members.iracing.com/jforum/posts/list/1474191.page

Quote from AstroBoy :I am a winnor at Daytona in the trucks 50 lap green run i managed to pit at the right time come out in first held off the guy on my bumper by holding the inside line to a easy win

So um why arent V8 supercars used more?
And if you start a race with people in it but only you finish because the others left why doesnt it count?

V8 Supercars just aren't good enough to drive with the current tyre model, it behaves very very strangely. I think they are fantastic, but hopefully when the NTM comes out, it should get a lot better.

If less than 8 people (I think) sign up to a race, it's unofficial and doesn't count for iRating and points, which means you don't have to run the race.

This is the second week I've forgotten to take Bayne out of my line-up. With 4 drivers I'm getting ****ed, ah well.

What a save by 5-time, brilliant demonstration of car control and keeping an out of control car out of the way of everything. JPM is wrecking everyone he can.
