Quote from Flame CZE :My paddles on G25 don't work on Formula 1600 but in other cars it works. Has anyone got the same problem? Running on the patch B.

1600 uses H shifter, as does 1800 I think.

It's all well and good pushing the race back 15 minutes every time they **** up, but it's no use for anyone who isn't American. It's now midnight, and if the race goes ahead we could be up until about 5am.

It's never usually like this, it's just because of the 500.

They had the same problems last year, I can't believe they didn't see it coming. I mean, yeah 1600 people are trying to access the website, but 1600 people isn't anywhere near a large number of traffic.

And, it's crashed again. Nice.

Holy shit, they rescheduled for 11:30 and it's crashed again. What a fuck up.

There were 1600+ people registered just before it crashed.

What I now find really funny, is that Shannon Whitmore has posted saying that the users are at fault for hitting refresh trying to get into the race. What a ****.

So what happened last year? Did iRacing do their usual and ignore the problem, or did they reschedule?

What a ****ing disaster, at exactly the time the Daytona 500 is meant to start, the whole website goes down. ****ing fantastic, iRacing.

Quote from Gnomie :Nobody's done a 47.2, neither in quali nor practice..

My fastest lap in race trim in a draft is a 46.6, my fastest 2 lap qualifying is a 47.2 with qual tape. 47.2 is easy enough, the DWC guys were running 47.1's in qual, and people are doing 47.0's by doing burnouts in 4th in the grass before their run.

Edit: sorry, I was replying to a post about running the Daytona 500, I can see now that you thought I was talking about the V8.

I'l be running it, I can just about run a high 47.2 in qual, want to get faster and into a higher split though.

Well, Kurt Busch could be a good pick, 2 for 2 this week so far.

PMD, don't worry about Jr, over 500 miles he will be able to get to the front.

He will either just ride around the back waiting for the big one which will inevitably happen, or hook up in a 2 car draft and drive straight to the front, infront of the big one which will inevitably happen.

Fifa, probably. Maybe MGS4.

He will never be charged for anything, how impossible is it to prove that he was specifically referencing that crash.

Anyway, it's ridiculous to get lifted for an 'offensive gesture' at a football match. Imagine they tried to enforce it at an old firm match? The full stadium would have to be arrested.

Wait, can we not change our lineup before every race?
DeKo

Not knowing loads about Nascar, I've got a pretty good lineup I think. Went with Jr, obviously, Harvick, who always seems to be good in SS races, Tony Stewart, who is well overdue a 500 win, Michael Waltrip for $1!, and I'm trying to decide between Jamie Mac and Mark Martin.

No way would they be able to do it for the full 500 miles, the bumpers were knackered after 75 laps.

Quote from BlueFlame :Doesn't erase the fact it's in the game in the first place does it? I shouldn't have to play with the sounds, there should be a global sound variable and THAT's it, same for all sims, I don't want the sound to, well, sound REAL, not artificial. The crash sound on netkar is horrendous, it may aswell be a guy shouting CRASH. It would at least be funny for a while.

You're right, everyone is the same and should have the same settings. They should remove the graphic and control settings aswell, you shouldn't have to play with control settings, there should be a global control variable that everyone uses.

Oh no, wait a minute, everybody likes different settings. The same way the controls are adjustable for different hardware, sound setting are exactly the same. Just because they sound shit for you, doesn't mean they sound shit for everyone.

Seriously, your sense of logic leads me to wonder if you actually aren't just a bot sent out to be an idiot. I'm amazed you can turn on a PC.

Beaten Senna by a second and Petrov by two.
I hope people here are realize Heidfeld is the best option for Kubicas cockpit no matter what.
There is nothing about Senna nor Petrov, both are good drivers but at the level for current F1.

Testing times are absolutely no indication of performance, at all. If we go by testing times, the Williams is 2 seconds faster than the Mclaren, and Barrichello is nearly 3 seconds faster than his team-mate. Do you think that's the case?

Anyway, it was much colder today than yesterday, that could easily be worth a second.

Quote from PMD9409 :Why on earth would you be doing rookie races anyways (Not counting new-comers)?

Well, I don't, but some people do. The Street Stock and the MX5 are pretty good fun, especially considering the races run once an hour 24/7, so a lot of people will just jump in for a quick race. Not for the next month, though.

Wasn't it an absolute disaster the last time they offered a free month? Rookie races will be even more ridiculous than they are now.

Quote from SidiousX :Now I'm confused. In the Daytona 500 Qualifying, they are only hitting like 8700 rpms, maybe they only had the raised RPM for the shootout.

Well yeah, there's a 20mph+ difference from running alone to running in a draft. They're barely hitting 185 in qual trim, fastest speed in last nights race was 208.

No chance will the 500 be anything like the race last night (which was awesome). Even by the end of the race last night, the bumpers were knackered and they couldn't push each other anywhere near as much as they had done, and no way will the engines be able to cope with running 9700 for 500 miles, so I expect it to be more like Talladega racing, the odd 2 car breakaway, but mostly pack running.

I'm impressed by the rain and how well it works on the addon tracks. Really like the hillclimb aswell, though I will have to learn it in the dry before I attempt it in the wet.

So, I bought a Caterham, as I did in TDU1 aswell, but apparently the British tuner isn't the right one for the Caterham? What tuner would be?
