Quote from Zen321 :
Come on, I don't know what the skaters in Austria sound like, but from what I recall when I was skateboarding the "gibberishy slang" is just a technical set of expressions referring to special tricks.

Nope, I don't mean the names of tricks, but the whole stupid "youth culture" associated with it, that comes with a certain way of clothing, body posture and speach.

To be fair though, the retards usually are in the amateur and fan crowd, but not the professionals themselves.

Yes, you are stereotyping.
Statistically, both british and 'mericans are more dangerous than muslims.

EDIT: was meant for the post above by BlueFlame. Too lazy to quote.

Na, quite normal. An antenna is pretty much a stick of metal, nothing else. If you remove it, the transmission quality and power will go down, but it usually can be replaced by any wire, as long as it's a good conductor.
There's a reason why you see antennas "fixed" with coat hooks so often in TV: it actually works.

I disagree.
While there are beautiful asian women on this planet, I have yet to see one in person. All asian girls I've seen around here are small, slightly chubby (yet flat chested) and generally don't have beautiful faces...

I can recommend the Nikon Coolpix S series. Cheap, reliable, comes with a rechargable Li-ion battery, takes reasonably good pictures for everyday use.

Your point is?

Translating takes considerably less effort than rewriting the rendering engine, plus it results in additional sales.

I think it has something to do with the fact that the tracks are split up in sections, and only the section you are on is rendered. Now this works for ordinary tracks quite well, but with open tracks I doubt it, as at any junction, there wouldn't be a definite route, which means that two sections of the alternate routes would have to be rendered. And that i what the engine isn't capable to do right now.

Also, as I don't really see the appeal of cruising in LfS (there's always GTA or TDU to do that, WITH police and traffic), I don't think that Scawen should waste precious developement time on that.

The so called "threat" of terror is mainly a means for governements to reduce the freedom of their citizens.

In reality, you'r more likely to win the lottery than to be victim of a terrorist act, even in Egypt.

I am against it. For most people it would be just a stupid, tedious and simply unfun grind until you have enough points to drive the car you want.

Now I have nothing against a career mode, if it was solely single player (that way cheaters wouldn't be a problem, as they'd only cheat themselves), or limitied to unofficial private servers as it is now (or was, with ctra...)

Can be done quite easily. Just crack open a fertilized egg of each developement stadium into a petri dish.

The individual chicks don't survive though.

Only if your shite is soft and sloppy.
I once had this massive sit-in after I had to hold it in for half a day, and it was hard as a rock. I was literally shitting bricks, and I tell you that it was a very painfull experience which in the aftermath required very gentle wiping with soft, 4-layer TP not to upset my bum more. Thankfully, concrete shit does not really leave any traces behind.
The sensation of relief did not set in until going for twosies didn't hurt anymore... about 3 days later

Quote from JasonJ :Kinda reminds me how skiers used to complain how snowboarders were reason for the destruction of mankind because they didn't go forwards.

No, snowboarders cause the destruction of mankind because they have this suicidal tendency to sit (in huge flocks) right behind a ledge so you cannot possibly see them until you're about to skewer their kidneys with your skis.

But then, if you hear them talk, they do remind of drifters (and skaters), meaning they use a very gibberishy slang that sounds really retarded. Must be a side effect of a sport which goal it is to look pwetty fo da judges...

On a sidenote: what does an Australian know about skiing? I don't tell you about surviving in the outback or surfing, do I? :P
On another sidenote: The sister of my gf got a package from the US of A today adressed to "Australia". Stoopid 'mericans...

That's just a glitch. I am sure if you look hard enough, you'll find similar bugs in Falcon 4 (which was awesome, admittedly)

Quote from piggy501 :
The world's smallest dog is the chihuahua, which means "tiny dog in the sky."

I rather think it's called after the sate of Mexico Chihuahua.

Funnily though, while it's the smalles dog, it's also Mexicos largest state.

On a sidenote: if there's so much clearly wrong stuff in that school bock, it's actually really scary.

Also, I don't want to step on anyones toes, but with the developement times of a car for LfS, I can't see it happen to get a new Sauber every year. Also, what should be done with the old ones then? Should they be kept, resulting in having numerous similar cars cluttering the car selection (allthough a wheel to wheel comparison between the models could be interesting...), or omit the old ones, making the effort to create one obsolete after a year?

Also, there are other cars that would need updating too, like the Race About or the MRT..

He means that there is no such thing as a "gripper", it is merely a mental construct of retarded d0r!ft0 kids who struggle with the concept of a car going in the direction it points.

I just found out that I replied to this thread a day before my 25th birthday, so it's 1 and a half years old. Now that was pointed out by Falke already, but I thought upon clicking on it, as I clearly remembered the convo in here, that this thread was recent.

So this brings me to one of those "you play too much LfS" points:

You play too much LfS when you think 1 and a half year old threads are recent!

So you want an "improvement" for something that isn't even a feature of the game, but a system created by others...

Also, I despise credits in most games, as they usually do involve grinding of boring things till you get to do the exciting things (*cough* gran turismo *cough*)

Quote from chavm481 :
i ran a 10:30 mile today!!

Wait what? That is an achievement worth bragging about? I did 3 km (3,2 would be 2 miles) in 15 minutes before I started to do some serious training.

But then, those days are long gone, and judgeing by my state today, I guess that I'd be glad to keep running for a single kilometer...

Quote from Forbin :If you're looking for realism in a combat sim, check out:

- Lock On (modern jets)
- IL2 (WWII props)
- Black Shark (helos)

IL2 probably has the best pick-up-and-play factor. The others tend to get pretty involved with all the various cockpit systems.

I agree 100% to this post.
And shame on anyone who wants to add Comanche to that list. While fun, it wasn't a sim by far.

And on Topic: Just another proof that Redstorm/Ubiswoft didn't manage to release one decent "Tom Clancy" game since R6: Ravenshield...

There are plenty of servers available. Why would you need your own? Also, you can host a server on your computer yourself if you want to have a password protected private server for you and your friends.

That list doesn't include the Suzuki Swift GTi Mk 3, which i personally think is the closest to the XF GTi.
