Just watched Tomb Raider: Ascension...its a Fanfilm, shot on a shoestring budget, but is surprisingly good!...the (unofficial!) blurb reads:

Quote :Except for Ms. Pac-Man, Lara Croft is arguably the best-known female video game character ever. As the star of Edios Tomb Raider series, sporting a British accent, sleek moves and outfits that pack more than pistols, Croft walks the precariously thin line between post-feminist icon and fanboy drool instigator.

As a result, it might seem easy to make a movie based on her, but both the Tomb Raider feature films were abysmal junk, and most fan efforts to date have haven t done her justice either. These factors make the brand-new fan production, Tomb Raider: Ascension, all the more surprising it s a great flick that simply leaves other incarnations of Croft and Co. in its dust.

Here s a fan film that feels like a feature not necessarily in terms of budget (though it s not chintzy), but rather due to the quality of writing, acting, editing and camerawork. Throughout the movie, time and again, the usual fan film pitfalls are avoided. For instance and it s no small thing the actors interact; they re not merely reciting lines. For that matter, they re all different ages, too something of a rarity in fan movies.

I'm not sure if it was ever officially released, but there are copies around for those who can guess where to look!

Quote from J@tko :Yep, and Nottingham Forest, Charlton, Bradford [to an extent]

Dont forget the mighty Blackpool....In the 50's there was nobody to touch them!..Just ask Sir Stanley!

As for Chelsea's "thin" times, I was a season ticket holder back in the 80's, and I can remember when we were 1 goal away from going under totally, they were passing buckets around to collect enough to survive.......then that nice Mr Bates bought the club for £1, and we never looked back!

Quote from Jakg :A random request, I know, but could anyone with Windows 7 RC (7100 - preferably x64) please open Regedit and search for "IsShortcut"? I deleted it following a guide on the net - and it's broken some stuff. If anyone could tell me where it is, and what value / type it is?

(a screenshot of regedit would suffice to make it easier!)

thanks.

Looks like re-installing MS Office will cure your woes...found quite a few references to it, and the vast majority were in MS Office apps....

To be brutally honest, the concept of "fronting" seems to only apply to YOUNG drivers...example: I have 2 cars registered to me..they are both insured by me, in my name.
On one of the cars, (the Civic) my wife is a 'named driver', however, she is also declared as my wife on the policy.
The insurance company is fully aware that I hardly ever drive the Civic, and that for the vast majority of the time it is 'her' car in everything but name...

and they dont give a toss!

Best thing for cheap young-persons insurance is: GET A SMALL VAN!!!!!
For some rreason, the insurance on vans is a LOT lower...and you still build up your NCB; until the price for a car becomes reasonable.

Quote from Bob Smith :Funny nobody had noticed this before? Congrats on your revelation.

Would you like me to rename this thread to "OMG I'm slow!" ??

I think that we should have proper [sarcasm] [/sarcasm] tags that change the font to something silly..so people of a more "American" attitude can recognize it easily.

you heard wrong......Most of the guys at work have their sons/daughters insured through them..including an 18 yr old with an XR3i and a 20 yr old with a 2.2 Cavalier...and THEY never got a hike in costs when they passed.

try Quinns of NI: http://www.quinn-direct.com/uk/

they are the loonies that quoted Emmy £600 F/C on the Swifty @17 with a provisional license!

I wont suggest Swiftcover.com; they wanted a whopping £124 to insure my 2ltr Coupe fully comp! (for me, that is! )

Quote from Shadowww :Real minimal requirements (to get stable 30-45 fps):
Intel Core2Duo 2.2GHz / AMD Athlon64 X2 2.6GHz
2GB RAM with XP, 3GB RAM with Vista
NVidia GeForce 8800GT / ATi Radeon HD4770 with 512MB VideoRAM
HDD - 16GB free space (won't be a real problem).

REAL minimum requirements...
An Xbox 360

This game is the biggest pile of programming dogpoo ever to hit the PC since Bully:Scholarship Edition...which by coincidence was also thrown together by Rockstar North!

It has REALLY bad code, so much so that even people with ninja PC's have had serious issues!
