I know, well probably not many are interested because this photomode competition has been going for a very long time and pretty much nothing different has been happening in it. Last time when this happened, we took a 4 months break and that helped, it continued pretty successfully for another year, but now the inactivity returns again.

Myself I am also very lazy to do anything lately, but I'll see, maybe I can come up with something. I just think this is a great theme and we shouldn't waste it, there could be lots of very cool and interesting edits, so lets make this a week longer and see what happens.

Lets make this one week longer, I don't think there is a point to make voting for only 3 images.
Anyway, it looks like photomode competition probably needs to take a break again since nobody is interested in it anymore, so if there won't be more entries, I might not continue this for some time.

Disabling other processes didn't help, same crappy FPS. But thanks anyway.

General_Al- I will check it out, thanks.

FPS problems after re-installing Windows
andRo.
S2 licensed
Hey,

Maybe someone from this forum can help me out.
I recently re-installed my windows and I am facing FPS issues now. I used to have Windows XP and now I installed Windows 7. FPS has decreased a lot - on empty track in Windows XP I used to have ~90FPS, now I have 40-60FPS. When I watched a replay with full grid, FPS at some points even fell down to 8 FPS, everything lags etc. On old Windows I had no problem watching replays with full grids and LFS graphics being on highest. Also when playing LFS, pretty much everything was set to highest and there wasn't any FPS problem.

LFS is using up to 3 to 4 times more PC resources than it was using on Windows XP. And I have noticed this issue only with LFS. All the other programs etc. are using less resources than they used to on old Windows and are running better.

All drivers are up to date, everything is updated, not sure what the problem is. Or maybe my PC is not good enough to run LFS on Windows 7 or something?

Any ideas?

This rounds theme is... "Head2Head".

Round rules: (made by Gr1jkeeRU, these will not be changed)

Make a best looking of head2head battle on the track! External images are allowed.

Cars: All
Tracks: All

Quote :Competition rules:
  • When you have finished your picture and want to enter it into the competition, please write 'Final Entry' in the relevant post.
  • You must provide a preview picture (no bigger than 400 x 400 pixels) as well as the High Resolution picture. (The preview picture does not have to be exactly 400 x 400 pixels - it can be smaller to maintain the correct aspect ratio [for example, 400 x 300 pixels])
  • No renders, old images or VOB MODS to be used.
  • You may incorporate external non-LFS images into your work this round.
  • You MUST NOT use any LFS screenshot material that does not belong to you. (You are not even allowed to ask others to take a picture for you etc., everything has to be done by you.)*
  • During the voting, you are FORBIDDEN to get more votes in an unfair way. (Asking your team members, friends etc. to vote for you.) If I find out, your image will be removed from the voting and you will not be allowed to take part in the competition. (For how long, that is to be decided by me.)
  • All pictures MUST be uploaded to LFSForum.net, so basically in the attachments. (Other uploading websites are not allowed to be used.) (This is because of the fact, that after some time, the other websites get shut down and pictures in hall of fame or old threads disappear and we can never get to see them again..
  • The winner of the round should explain how he made his edit. This is not a MUST rule, but it would be great for the beginners and also others to learn and see new things. (This means, giving 2-4 images of the steps, the raw screenshot etc. telling the techniques and tools used.)
  • Any entries that will be ignoring 1 or more rules listed above, will not be accepted.

* If these rules are ignored, then the person might be forbidden to take participation in the competition for some time.

Anyone is allowed to post their pictures and take participation in the competition as long as the rules are obeyed.

Competition closes on THURSDAY, 26.04.2012. at 20:00 GMT.

BONUS *FUN* RULES:

- You must obey the rules
- No b*tching/moaning/arguing

Have fun and good luck! Feel free to discuss the topic, images or ask questions.

Well, because of the crash that occurred in T1, I didn't manage to avoid one car and damaged my suspension, so I had to make a pit stop. But due to this fact, I had to change F12 options for fuel and it is pain in the ass to put it back on as it was after the pit, while driving, so I accidentally spectated myself, so sorry for chatting there, I just thought maybe there was a chance I could rejoin for my silly mistake. Anyway, I'll try to be there next round, this time with practice hopefully.

Thanks everyone!

jrd.racer - Use the background given to cover the spots you don't want to see. Nothing is warped, I just copy/pasted some parts of the background on the left and right side to cover the places where the car was seen and I did the same thing to make the background behind the windows. If you look closely, you'll find the same stuff behind windows as on the left side of the car, just copy/paste things and use eraser with low opacity to erase the edges that usually make a clear outline to be seen, once you've erased them there is no outline and it looks good.

About the windows: I select the spots which I need to be visible, I cut them to a new layer. Then I copy and paste multiple times the same layers so that there wouldn't be any outline around the selected areas (which it usually makes). Then I take a color from the seats or whatever was close to the window to make a similar impression as the previous one. I fill the cutted parts with that color, change the opacity to ~60% usually and it's done.

You probably didn't understand a thing I just wrote, well, if you need some more help, just ask in PM and I will try to answer in a more detailed way.

You can have a look at some old tutorial I made how to change background, although it's in Latvian it is also shown with the pictures what to do: http://www.lfslatvia.lv/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=351 (About the windows it starts from point 5. Although I do it in a little bit better way nowadays, it is very similar and you should get the point.)

Oh, I see. I don't think that mustang can't read, you just wrote it in a way that I also understood it the same way as mustang. Now it makes more sense why 150 images.

Could you still upload the original one somewhere where its possible, I want to have a look at that huge image.
andRo.
S2 licensed
You can always upload it somewhere else, so the quality wouldn't be lost, so I don't think that is a big problem. And spend 8 hours for that? Sorry, but I can do it in ~15 minutes. Why does it take so long for you? Did you use some special technique or what?

Anyway, I actually had the same idea for my next edit, to make a panorama kinda picture. But I haven't decided yet which track etc.

And yes, could you explain why you needed that many images, if it can be done much faster and easier? I mean, what does the 150 images change? Maybe in real life it improves the quality etc., so many pictures are needed, but in LFS it doesn't improve anything, or does it? If you could explain why, then please do, since I might be wrong.

Other than that it's a nice shot.
