Quote from Fordman :I heard, there is a "cost" for scanning a track....or is this what the Track Owner charges, or is it what is costs for use of equipment...I.e Scanning?

The owner might be up for a freebie, but if it, and I heard, 10K per circuit, Kudos is not going to pay that for a UK circuit...no matter how good it is and historic

I have already spoke to kunos about including a laser scanned croft, £30,000 is what it would cost.

And just so you know.. They paid a lot for silverstone to be in the game.

looks great
As nobody has commented on my post, I have tried that Escort Mk2...and it is actually a lot of fun...yeah a few tweaks here and there is needed, but it such a nice change from all these over powered monsters that seems to be what everybody wants.

Escort Mk2 @ Brands Hatch = Heaven Best of British

Quote from Töki (HUN) :ASSETTO CORSA featuring RSR Nurburg!

Sounds good.

Oh great....more tracks that are aimed at Track Days than good old fashioned paint swapping, close racing circuits

It is wasn't for the modders out there, all we would have is over powered, RWD ( apart from the Fart) and tracks (apart from Silverstone ) that are based on high end cars.

I  to the modders out there and thank them for making AC not just a Hypercar/supercar simulator

Silverstone is probably the most GT3 (and above) racing-focused of all the tracks in Assetto Corsa. It's so flat and open with ridiculous run-offs that it fails to excite me in pretty much any car to be honest. Totally uninspiring in its current guise imo - if it wasn't "real" people would say it sucks.
Also, have you not seen the car list in Assetto Corsa? If you wish to call cars like the e30m3, the 1M, the 2/11, the Elise or x-bow "Hypercar/supercar" or "over-powered" then do so, but they really aren't.

i think its sucks even tho ive raced there myself.. flat and boring.

I agree Sinbad and R3dman, just was giving examples....I know the M30, Lotus etc etc are not super /hyper cars, but they are not your ordinary FWD fun cars either....

Where are the "apart from the Seat" that is modded, where are the fun FWD cars as well...not everybody likes fast RWD hyper/super fast cars for racing or single seaters...there is not a level balance in what Kudos is providing...that is what I was getting at....its been left up to the talented people that can mod, but people sham them because it is not up to Kudos's level and it wont be, as they are not paid for it.

We need a more level playing field, that is what I was getting at

They are making the original fiat 500 also so thats two.

Fwd is horrible anyway imo
Quote from R3DMAN :They are making the original fiat 500 also so thats two.

Two Fiat 500s you surely mean, not 2 fwd cars
slow fwd hatchbacks should be the easiest to mod, as probably half of ACs users has one sitting on their driveway Its easier to crawl under you own car to measure wishbone lengths than hunt around the net for the measurements of some one-of-a-kind supercar.

Tristan, start a mod of your *MG
I don't own a Rover. Never have, never will.
if you buy me a rover I'll make a mod of it. I promise. Maybe.
Quote from tristancliffe :I don't own a Rover. Never have, never will.

But what about that "hairdresser's car" you still have that ?

Fordie
Hairdresser's car? Ford Puma? Mazda?
Quote from ATHome :Mazda MX5 as far as i know

Yeah it was when he rocked up at mine for the T7R Party...something apparently about the handling...pfff what ever HE HE

I have just played around with that Honda Civic posted above and although, not perfect, it is actually really enjoyable.

Here is the link: http://www.mediafire.com/downl ... 2/honda_civic_gra_v07.rar

Now what I have found, is it had WAY to much grip for a FWD, so played around with the tyres.ini and actually copied the Ford Escort tyres.ini file ( so you had the Slick options ) and for me...it a good fun, FWD racing car to drive.

Obviously get the Honda from above, and I have attached the tyres.ini file and put in the Data file..See what you guys think

PS - Non of this is my work, so total respect to the creators

Will give it a try, I found the Escort to be undriveable, just a huge lack of grip and the force feedback felt so strange?
