I didnt even though about it that he tried to film 3d effect not 3d feature
Somebody posted these from a GT5 demo booth at Best Buy (Chicago)

Pretty hefty damage on a production car, and it was also mechanical as well

Did they catch the person who done it? and how much damage was caused?
over 9000!!! dollars!
Have they found out who's vandalizing these cars yet?
are there ay standard cars inn the demo?
Quote from chavm481 :over 9000!!! Dollars!

Vegeta what does the mechanic say about the damage price level?

its over 9000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OVER 9000!! anyways...
gt5 will not have OVER 9000 CARS!!!! only ~1000
i cant wait for the ring.
Quote from Boris Lozac :It seems that damage is not pre-defined, it depends on the angle and force of the impact.. this looks pretty good, they said it'll only be scratches and dents for factory cars..

looks like LFS damage, things crumpling til infinity... looks like they can eventually fall off after being morphed beyond recognition : D
Damage looks pretty good. If only all the cars in GT5 could have damage like that. I want to see some Standard cars in action now!
lets start a riot for a psn demo!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAY *takes clothes off*
PS3 - check

Now to pre-order the granturismos.

I'm impressed (as much as someone can be by grainy images) by the damage. Crumpling is the most convincing way of demonstrating damage (which is why the damage in LFS is good despite nothing ever falling off), and I'm surprised to see it to such an extent. I'm sure there will be a limit, though. No car is going to crumple any part of the cockpit or passenger area, surely.

Can't remember where i've read it.. but i'm sure i saw something about Premium cars having interior damage as well.. might of been a wish or a roumor though..
I don't really care, i'm more interested in mechanical damage.
Someone who has GT5p... how are the wheel rotations done there? Can you adjust it depending on the car or what? Someone just told me it's either always 900 degrees, or it isn't.. what does that mean?
i tried it once with a g25... but if it's anything like how the previous iterations worked, it determines what wheel you have by the USB ID.

And say, in F1 car i have to work the wheel like it's a bus?
no, the car steers like it's supposed to... but there's no wheel turn acceleration or the like... it's always 1:1, 900 degrees (or whatever your wheel or car can support, whichever comes first.)

Hm.. not quite sure i understand. So in F1 car for example it will react like i have a Momo, but i would be able to steer the wheel past those ~200 degrees, it just won't be recognized by the game..?

don't hold me to this by the way...

i think in the case where the car turns more than the wheel, they probably do some form of compensation that doesn't misalign the real/virtual driver visuals.

The wheel can always move 900 degrees, but you can adjust how much the front wheels turn on the car
But yeah the F1 car needs way to much lock to turn. The FFB is very heavy on the F1 car as well, relative to the other cars in the game.

Hope they have variable wheel lock in the final game, matched to what the actual car has automaticly.
