If you buy more things at once you get a discount so you may want to wait, Sebring should be released soon and "hopefully" Long Beach after that.
I've got it, but it doesn't work with my debit card... Let's see if it accepts MBnet

Edit: It does! And oops, I signed up with a different name from the name on my fathers credit card... But do MBnet cards even have names registered to them?

George Kuyumji sent an request for an invite for me (does that make sense?).
Yay, updating content right now

Can't wait!

Edit: I signed up on June 28th, if anybody is wondering... but as I've sent George pm's I don't know if this invite came from the site or from him. Hope more of you lot get it soon though

Nu'fink from "I'won'tbeRacingyet"
yep got an email too, not sure if I really want to use it but it's nice that I've got the choice now
hmmm I got an email from I-racing the same day Patch Z is released. Like waiting for buses!
Still waiting (im)patiently here lol.
I'm impatiently waiting for next week... I've never liked Laguna Seca and now I already hate that god damn track
can anyone who bought it and wasn't impressed make a post because I think I am on the edge of fishing out my card.....
My advice is to just get the $20 1 month deal to start. I was all set to buy a year subscription beforehand but us initial invitees were forced to sign up for the 1 month deal. Now after trying it I'm not sure if I want to renew.

It has great physics. Great visuals. Great sound. Great track detail. But I'm just not having that much fun. The online practices are really worthless unless you just want to observe others. The only thing online practices do is keep a permanent record of all your screwups when you're learning new tracks

Time trials. I guess I really just don't see the point. If you enjoy hot lapping in LFS than I guess you'll enjoy iRacing's time trials too.

Races. I don't really understand how they determine points. Dale Jr is in 2nd with 131 points after starting and winning one race. His fastest lap that race was a 1:48.7 which is pretty damn fast. Then we got Derek Wood in 9th place even though he's started and won all 3 races he's been in. His fastest lap in his last race was a 1:46.75 which is simply amazing - much faster than Dale Jr or any of the time trial records this week. The strength of the field was roughly the same. Why should he get penalized because iRacing can't match him up with better drivers anyway? That's not my main complaint though. I just kind of want to race for fun though. Like right now I wouldn't mind a nice points free race at Lime Rock that doesn't affect the standings. But that's simply not possible unless you like racing by yourself offline. argh.. it's frustrating

post
also... from Dale Jr's perspective, he ran one race and now is in 2nd position. Why the hell would he want to participate in any more races in the Solstice this week? Since the races are averaged the only thing he can do is bring down his ranking...

OK I'M DONE RANTING
Well, I'm not compelled to start it up again, but then I don't like the car, and the multiplayer is just too inconvenient for me - I much prefer the typical LFS scenario where if you've only got half an hour you can fire it up and choose from half a dozen different combos to race.

For $20 a month it doesn't give me enough value, but it is a good sim.
