Basically you'll have to install the ATI catalyst control center (as much as I'd rather use omega drivers), and use the wizard in ccc to setup a horizontal stretch/span. Can't do it with the regular drivers, can't do it with modded drivers...only the ccc.

In the game, just enable non-square resolutions to get one that'll match the span (stuff like 2560x1024 or 3200x1200).

It's not gonna be pleasant for you though...the huge bezel of your CRT's will need a lot of getting-used-to.
I see so I need to download the original ati catalyst software from them to do it?
Quote from mike11973 :I see so I need to download the original ati catalyst software from them to do it?

Not just the drivers, but it has to be the driver pack with the Catalyst Control Center. Don't know why they had to make it this convoluted, but it just is. The driver pack alone lets you do extended desktop, but that would only maximize the game to the primary... gotta use the horizontal span setup.

Getting my X800XL today! Woot!!

6xAA and 16xAF for me in LFS now.. (even though I can do it with my tired 9700pro- it isn't that fast, it dips into the 30's with a full grid)
Quote from Roadie :where did you get the clutch peddle?

It's a Thrustmaster Modena 360 Pro gas pedal I just sawed the Modena pedals in half and attached the other half to DFP pedals.
Quote from Matrixi :I just sawed the Modena pedals in half .

LOL- that's great.

Nice!

I wanted to get that one as well, but this one german shop had a reeeeally nice offer for a x850 xt (280€). Then, they even messed up and send me the Premium Edition

Enjoy your new gfx, AA and AF make such a difference!

Thx.. they sure do! I use 2xAA and 4xAF @ 1200 x 900 now, but 6x and 16x will look SO much better. I will need a bigger monitor now too. 1600 x 1200 will be sweet.
Heres my junk

AMD 3500+ @ 2.6ghz
1 gig of crucial ram
2x74gb Raptors
