The new year started by welcoming a new member into RTFR winner's club - despite spending major part of the race chasing others, the polesitter Joona was able to overtake the most laps leader on final lap and crossed the finish line first, earning his first win, pole position and fastest lap in his second RTFR appearance. With Joona's fastest lap,Finland has now tied lead position with Latvia in most fastest laps chart - 28 a piece. After leading the most laps,Fwank had to concede to winner and repeat his best finish position - 2nd,which is his 3rd top5 finish, also the remaining podium finisher P.Butcher was able to gather few leading laps, but could not defend his lead and had to settle for 3rd place, but he stretched his top5 streak to 5 in 5 races. Also worth to notify is the fact, that this was first RTFR with more then 2 different leaders since 102nd event. First time participant Riddick finished 4th yesterday, followed by another first time participant Super duper in 5th position.

After racing road cars and Rockingham for 2 events in row,RTFR will return with some of the slick tyre cars and different track after 2 weeks, giving the S2 owners again the chance to race - join us again!
back to cruising for me..

RTFR all time 2nd highest ranked driver yesterday became 2nd driver to reach 7 wins - A.Wiśniewski led the race from green to chequered and picked up also his 7th pole position in qualifying,7th fastest lap of the race and 9th top 5 finish in 10 races. His teammate V.Minnakhmetov never had the chance to match winner's pace and had to settle for strong 2nd place, which is his best achievement here, taking also 4th top5 finish, while Botsi was the best of non-Vires and filled the remaining podium slot with his 7th top5 finish. A.Szarka improved his best position (7th) to 4th place finish,T.Soini closed up the top5 by increasing his count of top5 finishes to 11.

After 2 weeks RTFR will slow down the speeds as one of the road cars will be up for racing!
Sad that Sami Litmanen had disconnect, could be some fight in the top 3 spots Frown

FZ5 is LFS's heaviest car and this race really felt like a sumo fight with all that pushing and shoving,a pretty negative display of normal and respectful racing, the fact, that this was most attended FZ5 race in RTFR history, also might had some impact. But like after every battle, someone returns home as a winner, this time it was M.Wentjärvi, who was able to pass most lead laps owner with 5 laps to go and hold his position to become 22nd multi-race winner of RTFR as it was his 2nd win,he also set his 3rd fastest lap of the race (with that Finland is now leading most fastest laps chart) and 3rd top5 finish. Marex could not hold the lead after leading most of the race and had to repeat his best finish - 2nd,but in qualifying he scored his first ever pole position (30th for Latvia) and it was his 4th top5 finish, podium was completed by A.Szarka, who improved his previous best position by 1,2nd top5 for him. First time participant Joku123 finished 4th,but Migpha incresed his top5 amount to 6 with 5th place finish.

In 2 weeks let's hope for cleaner racing, probably grippier slick tyres and lighter vehicle will help for it - join us then!
Was interesting race, setup played a huge role in this.

From heavyweight to lightweight, next combo: MRT @ WE4, would be nice and fun

8th win,8th pole position and 2nd place in it's chart tying 8th fastest lap of the race - these are A.Wiśniewski's today's achievements beside 10th top5 finish - it might seem a quite dominating performance in today's race, but closer look at results will reveal, that the pressure was there, just not great enough to trouble him. Botsi was the one,who was the closest to event leader, but still he could only achieve 2nd place today - 8th top5 for him,RTFR rating leader Y.Laprevotte finished 3rd,which is his 16th top5 finish. 3rd top5 finish in row and overall in his stats was achieved by A.Szarka, who was 4th best today, but first time participant UM21 closed up top5 and also was the last driver on lead lap as everyone else was lapped at least once.

The switch from LFS's heaviest to lightest car was quite successful and opinion about track was different between drivers, but we will be adding some weight back in 2 weeks, how much and where it will be used - info will be posted as always in sunday before the event!
