Quote from Furiously-Fast :I raced in that Mcrae challenge. I thought the Escort mkII was going to be a slow old school rally car, but I was wrong! I think it is the fastest rally car, and the hardest to control, as it is RWD. If you take a corner too fast, you need to counter steer it to get it back on track. Spoiler below...

The 1995 Impreza is unlocked after you complete the challenge. That is another fast rally car. Seems like the older rally cars are faster than the new ones!

theres an escort in it? i gotta get this game:faint2:
thx! that made my day!! coudnt stop loughing! at 2:43 i rofld!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
Yeah, that was the best bit. I'd like to see that guy's whole run.
Been playing this for a few days and I have to say I'm pretty impressed. Compared to the other capital letter racing games (SHiFT, GRiD, etc) it feels pretty good. As everyone has said, there's not enough focus on proper point-to-point rallying, but most of the events are alright. And the RWD rally cars don't feel twitchy enough, but that's a minor issue.

And for anyone interested, here's what I got as my prize:

And I was right- the shoes don't fit

The shoes are mint!

Me thinks ebay beckoneth the shoez!!!
I did think about eBay, but I'm a sucker for limited edition stuff. They'd need to fetch a crazy amount of money before I'd want to part with them
do they fit? If they are too big (hmm size 12) then i'll have them
They're size 10 (the biggest they were offering) and I'm 11 or 12.
They fit on my feet - barely - but I reckon I'd be in pain after about 20 steps
You could do a bit of Japanese feet binding and try and get your feet to fit.
Don't think binding would help now - they've been this size for a long time. Maybe lopping off a couple of toes would do the trick.

But the game itself is definitely worth a trick, unless you want nothing but point-to-point. Not been online with it yet, but anyone who has a 360 copy should look me up.

I'm hoping that there'll be more actual rally tracks released as DLC.
wouldn't fit me either then.

Huge feet sometimes FTW sometimes FTL
This game Pownzzzzzzz, I got it for PS3
Online is pretty awesome!

Also the cars in the game are really good, simply can't wait for the PC version

just strech the shoe with a shoe stretcher. It streches your shoe.

That post made me grin

I would trade the shoes for a G25 or the Fanatec wheel though. Might even be tempted with a plain old DFP, because I really want to get back into playing LFS properly.

This thread has gone so far off-topic now. Dirt 2 is good. The cars feel weighty and behave more or less as you'd expect. The RWD ones probably not as twitchy as you'd think, but it's all good fun. Loving the open wheeler.

Cockpit view is a nightmare when you go through deep water. Love it
I played this game on the weekend. I did the Trailblazer world tour (spoiler ahead) to win the Dallenbach Single Seater hill climb thingy and a few online races.

The funny part was that I was doing a race in the 'Mali Alan pass' Croatian Rally track, and before the
1/4 mark, there is a tight corner that has a steep fall. I fell into it. TWICE. The 3rd time I went on that track, I had to go really slowly, which cost me alot of time. I hate that track now!
Done that a couple of times myself. You rewind (and I still hate myself for using that feature) only to repeat the exact same move again. Awesome

My least favourite track is the Spillway one (I forget which country now). Too much barrier, not enough natural obstacles. I can't do that one fast at all.

The problem was when that happened it was online, so I ended up loosing a few races. (since there is not flashback there. Imagine if there was :schwitz

I love that feature. The only reason I don't like it is because I expected in to be in SHIFT sometimes. I press the button for flashback then nothing happens.

Lost weekend by The Qemists and Mike Patton. That song is also in NFS, but I barely hear it shift that game since the rest of the soundtrack sucks hard.

Now I need to find that song that goes Duh duh duh duh DUUUUUUUUUUH, duh duh duh duh DUUUUUHH DUUUUUH!! Not the best way to describe it, but if you heard it, you'll sorta know.
