I can confirm that too, and I second the idea of only racers can vote and there are 50% needed (with the needed 16, we would have been able to get rid of you know I'm talking about ).
And the votes didnt stay on long enough, due to disconnecting etc.
Besides that, I had sometimes the prob, that I hit Shift+R quite often before I actually voted. Sometimes there was written "restart" in the middle of the screen, but I didnt vote, then vote canceled. Same for using Shift+P.
This often happens in the end of a race with a lot of chatting/pitting going on. That seems to block some votes/pitting from people.
Hahahaha, uberpwnage!!! Soro, as I said already: go back to start, learn about LFS Development again, and then come back. Basically Everything you posted has been answered, is clear etc. etc. And Scawen wont give detailed infos on what will be in etc., cause that simply can change. Like a Patch release date can change too.
It's just in a stage, where you could say this is Stage 2 on the way to final. The devs wont stop until S3 is reached, and if they stopped, this is not the finished product, but a well working semi-finished one. Most of the community know this, and give a shit on the questions you ask, cause they know it WILL change and be added in the future.
I do think, the only part where LFS could improve speed of development is content in terms of cars and tracks. Cause designing with given tools, especially texturing, is a work of Art which can be done by a crafted person and overlooked by some group-boss (would mean Eric changing way of working ).
Code to be done by a single person - with some help here and there - is imho a very good solution for clean, almost bugfree and working code.
no. As long as the number of sold GPL copies isnt reached in sold
LFS licenses they will always have a constant flow of new licenses. GPL selling numbers is a good look at the worldwide sim-community and almost everyone of them will get LFS sooner or later just to have the collection of Sims.
So LFS will, and that's also due to it's ongoing support and development, reach that number sooner or later imho. From that point on, every additional license is a bonus OR means, LFS is just great also for others
and those who dont pay, DL them here or from friends and put them in their skins folder. Which actually gives better quality, cause I dont like the .dds compression at all. Gives to many artifacts.
a flatspot you should only feel on the slicks. streettires doesnt wear that heavily.
Besides that the tirediameter decreases with wear, that's pretty nice modelled, the cars get lower with racetime (GTRs best example to feel). Even in OpenWheelers IRL you dont really feel flatspots, only when they really get huge (Kimi anyone?). So in the possibilities of LFS engine, it's imho very well done atm.
just say Autobahn, ciennon. Everyone on this planet understands it as the paradise of no limit highway in germany And yes, we have a zillion kilometers of it here
I think you are wrong wtih that. There are atm two leagues where you meet the best and fastest racers. And those are MoE and ESCC. Well, on the other hand, you are right. We miss the americans there, due to the timeshifts.
On Topic: I think, the stcc system is a nice league/ladder system but it is totally selfmade and additional, and therefor should stay where it is. Outside LFS. Else, the supportwork etc. for LFS crew would grow immense, becky prolly would need to get hired by LFS, it'll slow down development of LFS. etc. etc. This is NOT negative about stcc, it's just a realistic pov, and I also enjoy driving on stcc servers, and do hope becky keeps that stuff running.

check Forum here: www.live-for-speed.de there you might have some luck to find munich guys. Anyway, dont know any "gaming club" location in germany, myself.
Just to clear some stuff up: When Ian Bell was at simbin, released GTR1, I met him twice and we also talked about LFS. And all he said was: He wanted to hire the "guys" but they werent interested, neither in working with/for him nor in selling their engine. And IMHO that's just great to know
