Quote from james_bskt :rFactor Videos

Some of them, well most, are really bad, but i found this one today and thought it was really great.

How can one person take such a good music and make such an average video. If you take Epic music, the video should be EPIC too... Editing is lazy

OK, so by your logic very controllable sportscars from Japan and Germany can't corner...

Quote from wheel4hummer :But who would want to buy a Veyron over a rare, classic Bugatti?

Let me just recap the situation : You're POOR, and you get a car worth 3 mil. Would you
A. Die an even poorer man knowing that you could have sold that classic Bugatti you never dared to drive
B. Die in a fireball going backwards on the supercars' roof while thinking "At least Im not destroying a classic Bugatti

Quote from theirishnoob :cause i love the 1970 skyline coupe myself ( like a camaro but its actually good )
e30 beemers are a German muscle car i guess... minus a v8... though theres several Very fine v10 examples

1969 - 1972 KPGC10 skyline GT-R is a I6 2.0 160 bhp lightweight small coupe...
1967 Camaro is a up to 6.5 v8, heavy, big coupe
1981 E30 is a I6, up to 2.7 and 170 bhp family saloon...

yup... they seem quite similar...

are you sure you know what's a "mucle car"?

Quote from MAGGOT :There's an exclusive deal with Microsoft for the Xbox DLC. PC/PS3 players won't get any DLC afaik. If they do, you can bet it won't be this, nor will it be as large as this.

is it as exclusive as GTA 4 was for the Consoles? (and GTA VC and GTA SA?)

Ehm... as far as an "insight" - this is worthless... as far as a commentary on a lap - it's quite good. I'm sorry man, but you're not giving ANY information on how you should go through the corners, which lines to take, how the set should behave for the best result, NO INFO AT ALL... Just as an example - the line "uphills, downhills, highspeed corners, all are a challenge, and you gotta learn them..." YES, I HAVE NOTICED... now HOW TO TACKLE THEM? no answer... sorry, this isn't helpful at all...

May I suggest commenting in league race recaps?

Quote from Toddshooter :Proper technique? What technique would that be?

I believe he's talking about the techiques used to set a world record, the lines, the braking points and so on

Quote from oida_fux :the car that would boost LFS, and the automotive world, is the Tesla Roadster.

Because we will be able to save fuel and not to harm Blackwood's environment? The races would have to be 2 laps though...

(I'd rather live in a post nuclear wasteland, driving a proper car, rather than drive a G-wiz or a prius to preserve the earth...)

Quote from zonda722 :hi plz can some 1 make me a fast but grippy set i would like the grip to compare to the (hard track) default setup

thanks alot

I am not an expert on this but as far as I know

1. You need to specify the track
2. You can't have a fast but grippy set, since most fast sets are slippery

Quote from GrIp DrIvEr :BTW, if it's called Live For Speed, how come all the demo cars are slow peices of crap? If it was Live For Speed, we would actually have cars that can at least hit 135 mph (or 225 kph).

Strangely enough, in Live For Speed S2 there are a lot of cars that can top that easily... I wonder why you haven't found them.... oh right.. because they cost 24 pounds... well, just like in real life - want to go fast, pony up the cash

Quote from brandons48 :I don't know if you have heard of the chavs, over here in england. But they're just like wannabe gangsters that live off petty crime and so on, and listen to that kind of music (rap etc.). It's literally just because i look different, and have different tastes. If they didnt have such a problem with me i probably wouldn't ascossiate them with those genres of music.

I was listening to rap when I was young and stupid (16-18 years old or so) I remember that the "old town" part of Riga was very territorial between rap and metal listeners. So, I guess it's natural everywhere for that sort of rivalry (correct word?) to happen... I do believe it's quite stupid to pretend to be a "gangsta from the ghetto" while you aren't, but that's not the point. If they call you "emo" and so on, you should prove them wrong... a nice punch in the face usually works

Quote from JeffR :Regarding the storyline, it's better than some popular fictional movies.

Its as predictable as it can ever get, it's nowhere near being good

I'd prefer a predictable straight forward story (here's the bad guy - take him down) than a storyline with a predictable "twist".

my only beef with it is that it doesn't have a proper ending. The beginning is nice and the action is cool. I also like the SFX work (not too overdone), but the ending made me feel like there was more to the movie, but it got cut

a solid 8.5/10 from me
