Scawen, I would suggest you to include that link on how to use the new layout editor in the news page. Might be helpful for someone who didn't follow the test patches.

Also, in the news page there's no new line between "Multiplayer" updates section and "Layout editor" updates section

E: Am I the only one who didn't receive news e-mail? The option is set to "yes, please" in the personal details.

This is off topic, not a general LFS discussion.
What exactly do you want us to rate? Colours, the cape or what?

Quote from UnknownMaster21 :Did you seriously post that? Logically that function just sucks.

What do you mean? That does actually sound logical. There's no reason to push this out now as the attacks have stopped if Scawen thinks something bigger can be introduced. Why make 2 consecutive test patches when he can make a bigger single one.

Quote from Flotch :New track to be released by Eric ... or new shadow system...

I may be wrong.

Now that's quite a speculation!
Though I kind of agree with that speculation Schwitz

May I ask what kind of limit was it? Did we just hit a limit on the amount of users?

Now that's a long list for a compatible (so far Cool) test patch Big grin

Wow guys nice way to create a toxic community. Do you really want to be like that? I'm all up for unbanning people who buy a license upgrade and giving them a second chance.

And MicroSpecV, saying "[...]community and isn't actually a bad person.[...]" is probably one of the worst things to say right here. The definition of "not a bad person" is way too broad and it feels as if you're saying that turbotron's friend is a bad person. Why is it that way? You're saying it's fair to unban Vano, he's not a bad person but you're resisting the unban of a person you don't know, as if he's a bad person.

Yeah my hopes have been steadily going up for a while now, everyday checking the forums to see what's going on. Interested! Tilt

Quote from SimulatorRental.com :The forum shows me as being the last to reply here, and I did reply to this, but my reply is not showing up.

Yeah there seems to be a bug in this thread, never noticed this happening elsewhere. It did say that you were the last to post but there was no post in the thread. But if you search your post history (link), it's actually there. Weird.

It's sad to see this going downhill Frown

Plus there are much more urgent things to do... There's no way Scawen can just give out details about future LFS, it's too dangerous. I wouldn't expect a fulfilling answer. I do believe that when the physics go out, LFS will enter a fun stage once again Smile

This is too big for this test patch though...

Is there an updater if I already have the 0.5F so I don't have to download the whole thing?

Just kidding, it's lovely that you are so interactive with the community!

E: anyone made a universal set for racing that's better than the default one?

Quote from gumis0517 :I would be also interested in this version. It's my dream to be honest :/

Don't get your hopes too high, it's not really all that special. Sure it has quite a bit of power but in that version of LFS the tyre physics are a bit wonky - tyres don't grip the ground at all, very slippery. You just spin the tyres constantly. You can increase the power of LX6 (tweaks) and you'll get a similar result Smile.

I don't have that LFS version anymore unfortunately...

Quote from Scawen :I'd be interested to know why you don't want to use the test patch. Any problem with it? Now's the time to report it so we make sure the final version doesn't have any issues.

But yeah it's very easy to revert you simply use the R exe. Usually it's recommended that you save the exe before using a test patch but I don't seem to have written that this time.

EDIT: Added a note about that in the first post.

My guess is that an insim wasn't updated for the latest version. For example LFSLazy isn't updated so it gives a message that this LFS version is not supported.

Quote from Scawen :
Maybe the bug will come back.

Let's rather hope that it doesn't come back. Ever. Big grin

Thank you for your hard and devoted work, Scawen! Oh those teasers you give us...

Quote from Spiiiky :I don't understand cruisers, I just don't.

It's like playing Counter Strike for the plot.

It's the community - it's fun to just talk with people and on top of that you get a relaxing drive around the track.

Quote from RaZMorocco :And please no "another one complaining" "the community revives the game" etc etc etc

But what else do you expect us to say? The development team is small so it can't pump out updates that rapidly...

Interesting, for me R3s most of the time are enough (UFR). And as everyone has said - be super smooth with throttle if you have pedals. With mouse you're left with smashing that button at a high rate when mid-corner. Sometimes the surge of oversteer can be helpful

Quote from jh89 :EDIT: Any questions which pops out, shout it!

So, did i understand it right... you can not have a broken suspension or flat tyre at the finish line, at the end of race? If you dont want any plausible penaltyes Smile ... just strategically thinking ... Uhmm

I want to add - so clutch mustn't be 100% overheated (full bar) or it mustn't be red (~15% of the bar)? Red clutch is by no mean overheated if it has just gotten red - it might not clamp as aggressive but it won't randomly start slipping...

I'd suggest the CT bar mustn't be above 1/3 or 1/2?

Quote from Kid222 :Oh btw. nice 3rd place Sobis! You went Sanic fast. Didn't notice until now. Big grin

Thanks, though I was horrified by South. In the final laps the distance between us varied around 1-2 seconds, too close for comfort!

Someone needs to do a graphical interpretation of all the replies, should be interesting to see and compare to the actual date! I'd say we should just count 2018 or ignore the year altogether for the graph Big grin.
