The update is there:

Up close : the new Aston configs
Earlier this month we disclosed the addition of 2 new configurations of the Aston racetrack. Today's pictures will give you a good indication of what you can expect them to be like.

Quote from Seahorse :The documents said that it works in multiplayer...

I think it all comes down to how you interpretate it. I think he means that it works online as in, you can run the mod and then go online with it without turning it off.

The HPI Savage 25 has a roto start system. I emailed Microtech Racing, they point me in the direction of this which I think will cover most of my needs.

The shell that comes with it is all painted up with the option of adding stickers to it.
The fuel I am going to get from a model shop not too far from me instead of ordering it for the sake of ease.

I am also going to get the reversing module for it because I think that could come in handy if I end up facing a tree

Cheers for the advice and links Hyperactive   and thanks for the pics Roadie  and thanks everyone else for your input, it has really helped

Quote from RMachucaA :Get an early 90's Tamiya WRC 1/10 electric, they can be offroad and onroad.

I had a slightly smaller WRC car brought for me about 2 or 3 years ago. The problems I had were that they scratched easily, damaged a bit easyer then I liked and took about 4 to 6 hours to charge up after only 30 mins use.

Thats why I am willing to pay the price for something decent that can go through long grass and not get stuck every yard or so

Keiran can you check to see if I have have got the right bits and have got everything I need for this truck:

Will that work for the truck?
Which 5 litre bottle do I need?

For the 12 AA cells, would it be ok to use rechargeable battries?
(My budget is about £400 btw.)

Edit: Do I need to order the things in seperate orders? ie:
Monster Truck to go first class
NITRO STARTER PACK FOR ROTO START to go on the shipping class: postage for starter pack
Then the 3rd order for the fuel to go with the Fuel courier?

I see that there are a handful of people that run RC cars. As I have zero knowledge about RC cars I hope someone can guide me. What im looking for:
  • Something that can cope with off road terrain
  • Can also be used onroad
  • Would like it to be quick
  • Would like it to be big in size
  • Would like it to be fuel powered unless electric is best
I have been looking at the HPI Cars which look pretty impresive. But if you have any oppion please let me know

Thanks for any help you can give me .

If you two want to argue about LFS v rFactor, go find one of the threads that have already been made to argue about LFS v rFactor. This is for posting your desktop.

Since we have gone off topic anyway:
What is best for someone who wants the fun factor out of a RC car rather then competion factor, petrol or electric rc car?

Just checked and services.exe is in the c:\windows\System32 folder.
Restarted into safe mode and it does not do it.
Any unnessasery services in services.misc have been disabled.

Now I just need a cure to sort it out
Thanks for you help
Process Services.exe causes system pause

I have only just noticed it but every 10 secs or so any game I play would pause for about a second or so which makes it very off putting. I ran process explorer to find out what was the problem and it was services.exe causing the pause.

I then wanted to see what thread in that process was causing it:

But from here on I dont know what to do to solve it from jumping up and down. So I hope someone out there will be able to point me in a direction that will feed it some chill pills

Thanks to anybody that may provide some helpful information

So basicly stick with the onboard sound till I get 5.1/7.1? Or just stick with onboard because a soundcard does not make that much diffrence?

ATM I am running onboard sound, but I have read things that say if you get a soundcard, the quality of music is improved '10 fold' on my computer.
I am running the Logitech Z3 Speakers.

I have found 3 soundcards that I like but am open to opinion.

1. SOUNDBLASTER X-Fi XTREME MUSIC
2. SOUNDBLASTER X-Fi PLATINUM
3.Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty

Thanks for any help you can give

Quote from Lautsprecher[NOR] :Do a "repair" of XP is the easiest option. Just select that (R)epair-option during the XP-install. That's what i did when i decided to get rid of Vista.

But would that delete anything on my XP partition? Or will it just get rid of the vista boot manager?
