Process Services.exe causes system pause
I have only just noticed it but every 10 secs or so any game I play would pause for about a second or so which makes it very off putting. I ran process explorer to find out what was the problem and it was services.exe causing the pause.

I then wanted to see what thread in that process was causing it:

But from here on I dont know what to do to solve it from jumping up and down. So I hope someone out there will be able to point me in a direction that will feed it some chill pills

Thanks to anybody that may provide some helpful information
I do know that it is "responsible for running, ending, and interacting with system services". And, "services.exe is located in the c:\windows\System32 folder. In other cases, services.exe is a virus, spyware, trojan or worm!" It is also, "a process which is registered as the W32.Randex.R (stored in %systemroot%\system32\ directory) and Sober.P (stored in %systemroot%\Connection Wizard\Status\ directory) and Sober.S/V (Executed from the %Windir%\ConnectionStatus\Microsoft\services.exe directory) Trojans. These Trojans allow attackers to access your computer, stealing passwords and personal data. It is a registered security risk and should be removed immediately." If I were you, I would see which directory it is executing from. Make sure it isn't a trojan. And then, go to File>Run>services.msc, and disable any services that you don't need. If it still jumps up and down, you could boot in safe mode and see if it does the same thing.

Google is your friend :P
Just checked and services.exe is in the c:\windows\System32 folder.
Restarted into safe mode and it does not do it.
Any unnessasery services in services.misc have been disabled.

Now I just need a cure to sort it out
Thanks for you help
