Quote from niall09 :But we could do with some English lessons though!

Oh just **** off. I don't really give a shit if things are not spelt correctly. We are not all perfect.

Oh hang on, let's be sad and just pick up on spelling mistakes and such like all the time. Just **** off Niall. You're annoying as hell half the time.

Quote from zeugnimod :Someone you don't know keeps sending you a message in a foreign language over MSN?

Do you really need/want to know what it means?

I know Him, he's just trying to be funny.

Quote from beefyman666 :Using Google translator with 'detect language' setting.

'we dont know you im saying haha And you never know'

I haven't a clue how right or wrong it is, and apparently its swahili.

I thought Google had it's own detecting language thingy, just couldn't be assed to find it lol.
Translation please.

Quote from pearcy_2k7 :This is what im talking about, its good to have ambitions but you go over the top everytime planning every detail, all these plans you have, your going to have a very busy life...
What happened to creating your own software company or whatever you said lollll

It's very good to have ambitions so you know what you want in life and have something to work towards. FYI actually, Swansea Metropolitan Uni is a very good place to do motorsport engineering at, thats why I would like to go there, I'm started sixth form next week so I'm really on the first stage of my life, I need to pass these next two years to at least try and get into Uni.

I was thinking about being a programmer and was thinking if I was really that interested in it, I would be programming a bit now which I'm not. You have to be very interested to go far in programming. I've been interested in motorsport and cars since I can remember, so I might aswell make something out of it.

I'm learning about cars on my own until when I hopefully get into Uni and do Motorsport Engineering and Design. Hopefully want to go to the Swansea Metropolitan University which was the first place to offer such course.
Edit: That R8 is ****ing hideous.

Quote from tristancliffe :I think Max Power have a forum. You could try there?

I may try that lol.

Quote from pearcy_2k7 :Nah, its called street stylers southwest now.

There isn't just modified civics on there. There is someone on there with a lambo. Some with a track viper which is currently being built, few cars like that on there.

I hate the stereotype of such clubs.

Meh. I can't even be assed to type out a proper reply. This really isn't the best place to ask about cars. I'll put a thread up on the car club I'm part of in a couple of months.

Quote from pearcy_2k7 :I just find you annoying, yes you might like cars and so do i and im also thinking about modding mine when i get it but atleast my ideas are actually realistic, yours aren't for a first car. Then your like "in a couple of years when i can handle it" you'll still probably smash it when you have more power in a car it can make it totally different that 2 years can't account for, you just have to not be a dick. But instead your saying "when i can handle it" when you should be saying "when ive grown up a bit and don't drive like an idiot". If you think you can make a 205 handle better than an evo in the corners then your really dreaming, how would you know anyway? Have you ever driven either of them or been in either of them?

You find me annoying? You're a fine one to talk.

Just because I don't put my full thoughts in here, I just put it in brief form really.

I know how well 205s can go. I know someone with a turbo'd one running just over 200bhp and it will leave his m3 evo in the twistys. Also have seen an Mi16 powered 205 chase Evo's around a track and if it was wide enough, would have easily passed the evo's.

Quote from pearcy_2k7 :Cause your think you got it all planned out before you've even got it for every car. Like "First im going to do this but only when insurance is cheap but i don't really like that engine anymore so i might stick a lawnmower engine in there, i heard they are realiable and cheap to run but not enough bhp so i might put a Veyron engine in there, then im going to put it on stilts so i can walk underneath it when i have passed my GCSE for walking under cars with a cowboy hat on". It almost stfu worthy.

WTF are you on. I just don't want to step into any car. I want to get a car I like which is good for a first car. I'm sorry if I like cars and just don't see them as a way to get around like others do.

One thing, why don't you STFU and get out of my thread? Don't get all pissy after this reply either as you've basically asked for such a reply.

Even when Tristan posts in here he actually says what the car is like and whats not so good about it.

Quote from BlueFlame :Just stick with a 1L Corsa mate, that's all young drivers CAN get these days..

There is much difference in the price of the premium for a 1L Corsa and a 1.6 car. A 1L will be about what, £1200 a yr to insure and a 1.6 is about £1600. £400 difference for a better car. Not a bad investment in my eyes.

Quote from Bawbag :A car that can kill EVO's on the "twistys" will probarly be your last.

Your still dreaming Sam.

You think I'm going to go out buy a 205 and slam a mi16 engine in it straight away? That would be a very stupid thing to do lol. If you seen, I said when the insurance is cheap enough which will be when I have enough driving experience to handle such a car. It's a 2L 160bhp engine, not going to get insured on such engine to I'm at least 19/20.

How is the cars I've listed living in the dream world?

Quote from e2mustang :Who cares really what are you getting? this thread is going for almost 5 months now about what are your dream cars but u cant afford. buy a 49cc motorbike! or buy a cheap car and talk with your insurance company about money.

I have a 49cc bike at the moment lol. I'm asking for opinions on cars I am looking at and what people think of them - Good or bad etc...

These aren't dream cars at all. How do you know if I can afford them? I have a motorbike sat outside worth about £1100-£1200 plus I work, so I probably I actually can afford them.

WTF, I've discovered what seems to be right that near christmas, insurance prices seem to go up! Hope they have gone back down to normal prices when I go to get a cat lol.

I've been looking at nippy, good handling cars. What I was wondering is that does anyone know if the 106 is as good handling car as what 205 is?

The cars I've been looking at lately are:
205 1.6 GTI - £1600 a yr TPFT - mi16 engine conversion cheap to do also which will then cause this car to kill cars like evo's in the twistys. That can only be done when insurance has gone down enough lol.
106 1.6 Rallye - £1600 a yr TPFT - Very similar to the 205 imo, just with better looks.
Old Mini Cooper 1.3 - £1300 a yr TPFT - Good little car, needs a lot to maintain the bodywork though. Also expensive to buy if you want a decentish one.

Quote from hazaky :Its not hard, just drag the folders. U can sort them out later, delete unnessecary files and so on. When i did a format lately, i grabbed my 500gb of music with no problems lol.

I know it isn't hard lol. I don't have an external hard drive to it though.

Last time I dragged the files over was from the old laptop to the current one using a crossover cable.

Quote from CSU1 :...If Vista was installed when you baught it you can do a master reset at boot. If you have data you need off the laptop that you need before you wipe it download Ubuntu and run it from a CD and retrieve your data.

Booting ubuntu first will do both confirm if the problem lies in Vista or hopefuly not in your hardware.

Most OEM's cater for such problems and add recovery options at boot, Google the the key's specific to your laptop to see how to enter recovery mode - but be careful to get your data first.

Windows also offers recovery options at boot, just after the boot text keep pressing F8 to attempt this.

If you installed Vista on it and it was not the standard OS for the laptop I guess there's your problem right there.

...btw things don't just break there must have been something, maybe you knocked it or baught some new softwares maybe?

It's not my laptop so I don't know if some thing may have happened to it.

I was thinking of restoring it but, I don't fancy dragging about 2,000 songs off of it again lol.

Quote from Bladerunner :Whats the specification of the PC?

Don't know the exact specs... Off the top of my head it's an Intel Core 2 Duo, 3gb of ram with 250gb hdd iirc.

It's a Sony Vaio laptop.
Weird computer problem.

With a computer within the household, there is a problem with it and I haven't looked through it properly. But, it wont load up any programs... Will boot up, but if you go to open a program, it just wont respond - Task manager wont even load so I can see what is using all the power of the CPU, if it could be that.

So, the problems are that is wont load up programs once it has booted up and when go to shut it down, it wont shut down... Have to take the plug out and when you boot it back up, it's the same as before.

The operating system the computer is using is Windows Vista.

If anyone could post what they think the problem could be so I can check it in the morning would be great.

No windows updates have installed. So can't be a bug in one of the updates - Don't know if installed new updates would work... Most probably can't load windows updates up though.

Quote from RevengeR :Man, insane insurance prices there.
I paid around 250 pounds (with the current rates) first year for my '90 3.8 supercharged V6 Thunderbird when I was 19. And it was on my name Another reason why not to move to the UK

It's good that the insurance is the way it is in the UK as it stops 17yr olds buying stupidly powerful cars. Although there is a good side of it, also there is a terrible bad side to it, which is the price of the premiums.

Bawbag... How do you find the ZR? Do you have the 1.4 or 1.8?

I really don't know which car to go for lol.

I think I may go for the ZR. I have read reviews on them that their handling isn't great. Just wanted to check with someone who owns one.
